Been Away For a While...What's Changed?

As the title says, I've been away from EggCave for about 3 years....

I just remembered that it was a thing the other day and decided to check it out. Everything's changed! What's this about trinkets? And items? And, *le gasp*, you can trade them separately now!

Also, what happened to EggCavern? I remember it being a great resource for questions, but couldn't help but notice that no help sites exist for EggCave anymore.

So many things changed since then! Trinkets are another form of travels, but give off a more realistic illusion. A lot of people collect items to add to their creature collections, but besides that, they are only used to help boost the stats of creatures (feeds, views, etc)


Egg Cavern been gone for a minute now, here's a link to the announcement though. The only website that is in existence and is similar to EggCavern in some ways is Eggcavity.com

Is there a purpose to books? And what do you mean "boost stats"?

Haha yeah. Books, toys, food, etc are all considered items, and they can basically be used to help increase/boost the feeds, views, clicks or the creature happiness at times.

Ok...do they boost certain stats? Like, does food boost the feed stat? Or is it random?

I believe so, I'm not entirely sure. If I'm not mistaken, it is random.

Any new scams to watch out for? I saw the add-on to the rules for pointless pinging (when did that become a problem?), but other than that?

Oh no, not necessarily. The pointless pinging rule was added not too long ago actually. It ended the excessive pinging that allowed users to spam the notifications of users to help certain topics gain attention. You can still ping people to guide them towards your topic, but only if you feel that they'll be genuinely interested in viewing it, and it isn't random.

Good to hear that it's just CC that's causing problems then. Any well-known (bad) users to watch out for? I remember that it used to take the mods a while to really nail someone down...

No, not at all. & the staff are pretty quick at handling and attacking situations now, like surprisingly quick lol.

You can get endangered species there like Aerlo, Bunthoff, Macaw, etc.

And the thief shop http://eggcave.com/leila/thief_shop where you can buy eggs for EC but some are fakes and a waste of EC though :c

Oasis is free.

Neither restock often so hard ta get em.

Also watch out for people trying to take advantage of you with values and such. Things have risen in value and some try to make it seem they haven't by much )except endangered species, those lost some_
