When is a forum deemed "inactive"?

How old does a forum thread (for example, a roleplay) have to be for it to be locked due to inactivity?

It came up in conversation and now I am genuinely curious.

It varies a bit depending on the type of topic, but most of it is just common sense. Generally if a topic hasn't been posted in 3-4 months its dead, over a year is extremely dead. Trade topics can be considered inactive after a couple of weeks as trades normally don't last too long.

The only topics that do not become "inactive" are creature suggestions. Its much easier for us to keep track of creature suggestions if people aren't reposting their old ones.
