It's like...
You have a decision, yes or no.
You choose yes and live that decision.
In the parallel universe, (that you cannot see, smell, touch, etc.) it branches off and you choose no instead and the parallel you in the parallel universe lives that decision.

All I know about parallel universes are...
That they have something to do with branches. 😱
