A disease called Red Fever swept throughout Norta. It caused young children to develop powers. Ex- control over fire, ability to create illusions, control water, etc. They would develop these abilities around the age of 10 and they would continue to grow stronger. The only exception is that even though they are powerful there is a horrifying side to this. If you controlled fire, you would slowly burn away. Or if you controlled illusions or had the power to create them you would see things that weren't there and get trapped in a dream-like state. Never knowing what was real or not. Anyways, a creature called a hellhound, they discover, is the cause of their powers. In the end the either have to give back their powers or be condemned to passing away at a young age, never over 25.

Norta is the only country the world knows. Outside its walls lays the vast arctic. The center of Norta is it's capital, Regen. There are a few smaller towns with about 3 million people in each. Eretria, Thalisburg, Geradia, Territra, and Forzonia. The climate ranges from over 100 degrees farenheit to -32 degrees. The terrain is mostl hills and taller mountains nearing the borders of Norta. Many trees dot the land though in the valleys there are many rivers and lakes. Rich soil can be found anywhere. The border is marked by towering walls with everflame atop them. Everflame is fire that will never go out.

Gender: Female
Personality: Calm and collected, but is responsible and is a leader when it's needed. Tends to be quieter.
Appearance: Long, thin, black hair that goes to her waist. She is quite thin, but average height, from living on her own but has a large amount of muscle. She is wearing a black, long sleeve, tight-fitting, shirt. Also has on black leggings and tall black boots that go up to her knee. She carries a dagger that has her name carved into it's hilt on her belt which is also black. The belt buckle is a grungy grey from never being washed.
Backstory: She comes from a rich family but once the Yellow Fever swept through, her mother died a few days after getting sick. After her mother died her father soon fell into great debt and locked himself away. Star soon became ill as well. Her sister, Violet, stayed healthy, as did her father. As the Yellow Fever left their house, Star was left with a dismantled family and a mountain of debt. Her father threw her out claiming that it would be one less mouth to feed. Vengeful, she left her town of birth, Eretria, and headed to the center of Norta, the capital, Regen.
