Too slow feeding eggs?

in Problems & Bugs

Deleted • 4 April 2011 at 11:42 AM

With V2, it takes me forever to feed eggs. I have to feed them with V1, or I'll never get enough done to care of my eggs properly.
I know that when we switched to V2 permanently. I'm screwed.

Could it be my computer?

Some of us were talkinging about this earlier. Seems like most users either have it going a bit faster or slower.

Maybe this has to do with the kind of internet thingy we use?

What browsers do you guys use? When I feed on either versions I think it's about the same speed.

Right now I'm on Google chrome and it's a WHOLE lot faster. I use internet explorer [Which one, I do not know] But Firefox was slow for me too.

i use Internet Explorer as well.the letters i type take a second or two just to type.like when somone goes D-O-
Y-O-U
U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D slowly.

Yeah it's also slower than usual on firefox 3.5

Also sometime when i click on the food the feed doesnt change and i have to click it a couple of times before it does.

What about feeding is slower? Are the page loads slower? Or when you click the Food and receive the updated feeds count?

Deleted • 13 April 2011 at 7:54 AM

@Ian
For me its that sometimes the food is like unresponsive and i have to click multiple time
the pages load fast and i when the feed count update it doesn't usually take long either

im using google chrome. its usually very fast when you feed eggs(the number changes quickly) but sometimes it lags for no reason and it takes me 20 seconds to feed an egg D;

Deleted • 13 April 2011 at 9:21 PM

@Ian

On IE it the page would load slowly. Took my over 5 minutes to feed one cove - now I'm using google chrome.

It seems to me that the feed count doesn't change as quickly but that the actual data is saved just as quickly.

well, it is possible it is your browser cache? When was the last time you cleared it? Also, it hasn't been like that for me, same as in v1

It may just be your connection. If it is a slow connection (Or slow Eggcave server) it takes awhile for the feed to register, as when you click it, it sends information to the server and then the server sends information back before anything about the feed counts 😊
