Hah, just wondering who else are college students here ;v;As for me, I'm a graduating student (will be done by December yay) majoring in Tourism! I've also started working on my thesis, almost done with the first half hng, can't wait to actually do the survey and interview thing.Oh and if you took any elective classes that you think were very memorable, feel free to share your experience 😊I took a Chinese class last semester, it's elementary Chinese hehe. So yeah, I can speak a little Chinese. If you are a native speaker, I'd love to learn more so maybe you can teach me a couple of words or something haaaa ;u;

@carnesielI'm a Biology/Math double major with a conservation focus. 😊 I took Chinese in middle and high school, but I forgot most of it. >_< Hopefully I can relearn it.I took an environment-centered social justice course, which was enjoyable. I also liked Philosophy. I really want to take Psychology, but I don't know if I can fit it in my schedule.

@lykhaos117 omg double major, that's cool!What year are you in now? : )) Also, lmao I took Chinese last sem but I'm starting to forgot things already HAHAHAWhat topics did you tackle in environment-centered social justice? i had an environment related elective which was ecotourism it was fun as well, altho there were a lot of readings ackkI took two philosophy classes!! the other one was general and the other focused on the concept of 'being' I had a Psychology class too, it was really interesting hng. I wanted to shift to Psych back then, but lmao the grade requirement was too high pssshh

@carnesielThanks! I'm in my second year. 😊We talked a lot about general social justice topics, though we did a lot of volunteer work related to animals and the environment. The social justice class itself is required, though each professor who teaches it gets to choose the focus for the class (several professors offer it), and my teacher wanted an environmental focus. For environment specific topics, we talked about whether climate change results more from the way nations handle their resources or by the choices of individuals, the effects of the election on environmental policy, speciesism, rights to clean air/water/food, animal capacity for empathy, and several other topics. We also discussed typical social justice topics like racism, sexism, political theory, religion, etc. Ironically, I felt as if my class was more knowledgeable about general social justice topics by the end of the semester than students who took the course with professors who picked a more "traditional" focus (I personally think of the environment when I think of social justice, but I don't think it comes to mind for most people).My Philosophy class was nice; it was a general course, not for a specific type of philosophy. I found out that I like Plato's form theory and Allegory of the Cave a lot. 😊

@lykhaos117 @carnesiel Hello 😃I am finishing up my first year in college quite soon actually, My finals week ends May 5th so that's wild!I am a Visual Arts Major with my concentration in Animation ❤️I think so far my most memorable class so far is my Sociology of Deviance class which is purely on the sociological reasons for deviance and its different forms. My professor is probably actually insane lmao xD All of my visual arts classes so far have been interesting especially my Design 2 into to sculpture class.I took so many AP classes in high-school that I managed to skip a bunch of my pre-reqs so that was a blessing ^-^"

@lykhaos117 @carnesiel @momokieHi.I'm recently started my second year, I took a quarter off after graduation HS to go visit some out of state family. I'm currently aiming for an Associates transfer degree, not sure what I'll do after that.I haven't taken a lot of classes yet, but my most memorable would be either my intro to poetry class, where the professor would randomly hold class outside, which was nice. Or my running start English class, where our teacher pretty much left a class of 30 kids to do whatever they wanted. There was once a kid who brought in a laptop and just watched Frozen in the corner.

@lykhaos117 ahhh, two more years then! ❤️ good luck!!Omg that sounds awesome tbh, i would have taken the subject if it was offered here as well! In my case, we also have a special topic elective, and the professor's forte was se x and gender tourism. It may sound rated M but it's really interesting! We talked about the issues and problems in the society regarding the 'sensitive' themes.The climate change topic is interesting as well! what's your stand about it? for me, it's both, but leaning more on how nations handle their resources, a discourse about this would be cool omg. well, everyone's got their own preferences when it comes to electives, but yeah i'm glad that you were able to pick the class which gave you a lot of useful information HAHAHAH. If I were you, I'd prefer that too rather than the 'traditional' topic one. Aaaa, The Allegory of the Cave brings back memories, we tackled that when I was in my first year! XD@momokie hello to you too!! 😊omg you make me feel old HAHAHAH how old are you now?and daaang, your major makes me jealous! I originally wanted something that is related to arts (but I didn't get to pass my portfolio on time), or veterinary medicine since I really love animals, buut my parents are against it because the location is too far from our hometown lmao.Oh well, I'm enjoying my major now anyway so it's okay x3(...although i want a job related to arts pfft)omg sociology of deviance sounds like an interesting topic tho!!! aaaa why don't we have that here HAHAHAHi took a lot of general and elective subjects that i'm kinda regretting it now since i want to take some more, but not allowed anymore ughhh@aeterna hello! ❤️Ahhh, the bliss of taking an off from school first. That's good for you! At least you were able to rest and be with your state family for some time hehe ;u; Poetry class sounds nice!! Is that an elective or nah? Also lmaaooo your prof, well I can't say that there aren't any professors like that here. Actually in one of my majors, we won't be meeting for the whole April, because the prof said so lol! So classes on that subject would resume on May smth.HAAHHAHAHA did you watch Frozen with the kid? XD

@carnesielWhen I took my poetry class it counted as my last few humanities credits, but I'll probably try to take another class with him for elective credit, he was pretty chill. I didn't watch Frozen, I was too much of a goody-two shoes, model student, sitting up front studying for other classes. Kinda wish I had though... Your professor seriously didn't give a reason as to why class was cancelled for a month? Are they generally a pretty good professor, or a bad one?Also, good luck with your thesis! (Forgot to say that earlier... oops!)
