There isn't an option to have the old look. Take the time to learn the new layout. Even though things look different, I'm sure that majority (hopefully all) can learn to love this layout.

I wasn't originally a fan of this design but it's definitely growing well on me!

apparently I can't quote anymore... It's not the layout.
One of the problems is that you can't click fast anymore. You have a conformation screen that really annoys me. And messages won't pop op anymore. The text is way too big and there are too much white lines between them. The animals/pets are listed 4 in a row while there could be 5 or 6. Where are the fast-links? A lot of them disappeared and you have to click 4/5 times to get there. It takes so much more time now then it did before. sooooo much white spaces everywhere. Why can't it be compacter and easy to read?! pff. I really want te old site back :/

Many of these things you can hope to be ironed out later. Eggcave still has a lot to focus on with correcting small pesky bugs and such, but once that stuff is more out of the way, the developers will probably have more time to spend on improving the user-friendliness of the site ^U^

I do want as many users as possible to enjoy the new Eggcave so can you answer my next few questions. Ian is still doing a look of behind the scenes work into fixing bugs and adjusting features.

You weren't able to quote in the version either? Do you mean putting words in italics? Testing italics.

When you say white lines, whereabouts are these lines? While typing responses to threads, in profiles or elsewhere?

With the pop-ups, do you mean the notifications? They do appear in a sense as the bell does go red.

Clicking fast: what confirmation are you talking about and what are fast links? I just went into the click exchange and it was pretty quick to click creatures and feed them. The loading time for the creature to say it is fed is the same. Are you talking about a different way to click creatures or otherwise?

I know these things are being looked into: messages and amount of creature in a row.

First question: No, you used to have a "quote" button under the name so it would copy the text and name. It was faster for people with a difficult name.

Don't know if that image works but the delete button could be on the right and it could be way more on each other. Just like the good old eggcave.

Third: Oh no I mean things like adjusting your cove or editing your creatures profile.

you're really kind since I'm a little upset about this whole new eggcave.
I hope it would be a little more easier in the furture

1. Press the arrow that's in the grey box. If you want to ping more than one user, just click the arrow after another user's post.A "Reply Now [1 Ping(s)]" will appear in the bottom left. Click that again and the username will appear in the post you are writing. Don't worry, the first time I saw this it confused me to the moon!

I think the delete button is on that side so those on mobile don't accidentally click the wrong button since if the report and delete were on the same side, the buttons would be very close.

With the amount of white, I don't know if this will be changed or what's going to happen. I understand why the area looks so big as it keeps the site format looking similar. It would be out of place if everything was one width and then a different page was only half the width.

I know it's a lot to get used to and I want to try and help users as much as I can to make it easier for everyone.
