What should I do About My Friend? Strike that, former friend.

I'm REALLY mad at my *former* best friend. She ditched me a ton of times this school year and it has only been a month. She did come to spend the afternoon with me a few times though. But I paid for EVERYTHING. Then one day, she PROMISED me that she would spend afterschool with me the next day, then the next day, she said 'Oh sorry. I want to hang out with my elementary school friends.' And that hit me hard.

My friends comfort me though. That girl had ditched them once or twice. And when I wouldn't talk to her, she just ignored me. And days before our fight, I commented that on her Roman project, Romans didn't have mustaches or lipstick. And today, she got an A. And I got a B. My information was ALL correct, doubled checked it with my partner & her mom, and it was totally amazing. $50 spent on it total. But my History teacher would rather take a horribly scribbled picture with a printed essay then my partner & I's large poster board, with each class of Romans, index cards explaining, houses drawn, with gold & curtains for Wealthy class.

I'm just REALLY mad.

@cafe Her project was turned in like 3 days AFTER the due date for small projects! It SHOULDN'T have been accepted!! The teacher said they would even decrease there grade. My project was a large and IT WASN'T EVEN DUE YET, BUT HERS WAS PAST DUE! D:<


Her Project: ooh. Man has mustache. Lady has lipstick. *scribble scribble draw draw* *prints poorly written essay* (Believe me, I've read it and it sucked.)

MY project: Large sturdy poster board, tri-fold. *draws in architectural houses for each Roman class, include windows drawn with curtains made of burlap for poor, linen for middle, and bridle white floral for wealthy with gold chains with gems inplanted* And we added 3 index cards explaining pictures, made up a family of Romans for each class.... Wrote a translation of Latin with English..

@trish I hate it when someone does an assignment really badly, and they get good marks when someone else gets bad marks even though theirs was really good.

I remember in primary school, these three girls' speeches was REALLY bad and all the same (plagiarism) and the teacher gave them A. This other guy's speech was really informative and everything but he got C.

@cafe It's very common in my school where if your mad at someone, it's possible to get a little ghetto if your a girl.... :x Because I know she will eventually rub it in. HER MATERIALS WERE CRAYONS, PAPER THAT RIPPED, AND SHE USED TAPE, I MEAN TAPE (!!) TO STICK HER TREES AND PEOPLE TO A BOX.

We used curtains! Gold chains! Crayons (XD)! DIRT! Fake grass! Sandpaper!!



@smilies I can't help it. Me and my partner like it very much. And a B means a B on my perfect straight A report card. So I'm doing EVERY FRIKIN BONUS ON MY NOTEBOOK TO STRIVE TO GET THAT A.

If THAT'S your friend, then just ditch HER. If you do that, (ie. reverse psychology) I find that it works. Or just straight-out ignore her.

What happened to you really stinks, did you talk to the teacher or your parents about it? I think at the very least you have a right to ask the teacher in question why her grade is higher than yours, lets see whether they actually have an answer to that. I my school people sometimes got their marks up that way.

And about that "friend", I agree with Smilies, just ditch her, you don't need people like that. You deserve better 😊

@trish Just so you know your grades aren't ruined if you get a B in Middle School. IT WONT BRING DOWN YOUR GPA IF ITS IN ONE CLASS. And colleges etc, are more focused on your high school averages, not so much middle school. And seriously ask your teacher about it (don't bring up your friends project when you ask about your grade)

It's going to be fine it seems awful now but you'll be O.K later, believe me stuff like that just kinda fades away. As for your friend it seems a little bit like you're combining anger with the project with anger against her. Just kind of leave i alone awhile and see what happens~~

u could ask teacher why she did some stuff. i mean, even tho u mite be mad at her, she IS ur teacher.

i would know how to handle this situation in my opinion but the problem is, im not u, my teacher isnt urs, and some of my friends arent yours
so in truth i would just let go of your friend. if she gets upset, dont go back until she is like desperate, which is rather unlikely from your description. when u ditch her, if she is like raging or something about why ur not friends wid her anymore u shood have a SERIOUS talk about her behavoir/etc

(i dont think im much of a great help, but im giving an opinion)

i have to admit, i think i might be SLIGHTLY a bit like the girl... not the ditching too much, but the grades-ish. i usually hand in my work late.. insomniac, but anyways, i sometimes get good grades

anyways @trish let her go, get more friends, realise some friends fail, ditch them, get more friends....
IMO thats pretty much life... but dont worry that this hurts your soul deeply now. time usually works, ull forget later. only problem is that thats usually false=extreme pain usually mentally can stay wid u for the rest of ur life=affect u for rest of life

and this part u might find annoying(im assuming) but thats what my teacher once said.

btw, if u can, maybe show how much she hurt u and show ur feelings
in truth that could be hard
but yea, u should get more friends
just make sure they dont manipulate u to negative effects and all

@trish If she ditches you, I guess she's not really a friend, is she? You know, a few months ago, my friends were really angry with this girl because she kept ditching us. Then someone told that girl that my friends were 'plotting revenge' behind her back when they were joking. My other friend was defending the girl who ditched us, and then my friend got angry at her because it wasn't her problem. It eventually worked out in the end, but they were a little shaky.

She made a promise and broke it, and took much less effort than you did and still got a higher mark? That's unfair. It happens to me quite a few times too. Sometimes, you just have to move on and just don't pay attention to whatever she's doing. She isn't worth your time, although you could try resolving the problem.

This was difficult to grade. Most creative poster with nice comparison of the 3 classes. Yet, it is much too bneresn (HIS FRIKIN WRITING IS SLOPPY XD) on their houses alone, especially for 2 students. Aho, Aurora (one of the mothers for a Roman class I made up)'s clothes are colonial, not Roman still, much effort and you did learn.
