"I guess. But I-" Paxon started to say before Drace jumped. He stared in shock as the guardian spirit disappeared from sight. In a split in second, the avian raced to the edge to see his new company simply falling. Paxon paced back and forth for a few moments.

"It's just a dream. It's just a dream. It's just a dream!" he muttered to himself and without another thought, he closed his eyes and jumped off screaming.

Drace grabbed onto a branch that was a couple of feet below He looked up to see Paxon screaming while falling. "Don't forget the parachute!" The guardian spirit shouted when the avian fell past him. A small bird (He supposed it was a bird due to what feels like talons jabbing his head) landed on his head.

"Oh hello," He said, holding up his hand for the "Bird" to perch on, which was exactly what the bird did. It appeared to be a... dodo bird? Weren't they extinct or something? Well, this is a dream after all, Drace thought as the dodo bird flew away- wait, flew? But dodos can't fly, can they?

He continued to scream as he fell, the ground increasingly getting closer. Was it possible to die in a dream?
If it was, would he die in real life too? Tentatively, the avian began to spread his wings. As soon as he did, Paxon began to fumble around in the air, not being able to correctly steer. With his wings fully out, he was able to kind of slow his fall. Eventually he crashed into a tree, sending leaves and feathers flying. Paxon's hood was snagged on a branch so he was just dangling in the air. He tried to wiggle his way free, but couldn't quite get loose. With a sigh, he yelled, "Uh, Drace? Could I get some help? I'm... stuck."

"Then wake up!" Drace said. "This is your dream after all. I'm just a visitor, haha" He kept the haha to himself. Checking his invisible watch that really didn't exist, he noticed that it was about 2-3 hours after the time he fell asleep. "Dang, time really does go faster in dreams... well that's too bad" He muttered.

The guardian spirit waved good-bye to the avian and then dissapeared into thin air, leaving the dream.

Paxon hung there for a little. How was he supposed to wake up? He had never forced himself to wake before. He wiggled some more until he heard the snap of the branch and the falling feeling returned.

Waking up with a start, Paxon quickly sat up and grabbed the sheet. Taking a deep breath, he slowly laid back down. How he hated that feeling so much. That horrible feeling of falling. The avian got up and realized his craft had landed. He was almost scared to open the door in case there was another cliff. However, when Paxon did open it, there was no cliff. In fact, it looked like there was a village or town in the distance. His stomach growled and he was reminded that he hadn't eaten in a while.

It didn't take long for him to reach the town. Once he got there, he instantly looked for somewhere to eat. In the end, the avian settled for a small restaurant. Paxon wasn't sure what was available to eat, but at this point he felt like he could eat anything. Well, that's not true. He didn't think he would be able to eat a bird.

Drace rolled off the couch. It was a moment before he realized he was awake. He groaned and check his invisible watch, and then checked the actually visible watch on the wall. It was 2 hours after the time he had dream traveled. "It's totally fiiiiine" he muttered, flopping down on the couch again. Then, he realized that he was suppose to find someone to guard today. He especially promised himself to stop being lazy and find one! All of the other guardian spirits have someone to guard, bot not Drace.

Scrambling off the couch, he dashed to the door, flung it open, and entered the outdoors. He realized he was suppose to close the door, but brushed that off his mind. So much for "Lock the doors before you leave."

As he ate his, well he wasn't sure what it was, but it was good, he thought about what to do. It was already getting dark. He really shouldn't have taken that nap, because now he was wide awake. Once Paxon finished his meal, he paid and walked the streets. It really was a pretty town. He looked up at all the stars, planets, and moons visible in the sky. A smile appeared on his face. This was why he traveled from planet to planet. For these moments that made him forget about the Grox and everything bad. Paxon could already feel the feeling slipping away though.

Suddenly, he could hear music. At first he walked in its direction, but as he got closer, he ran. Soon he was at the building. Music was blasting out and colorful lights could be seen. But best of all, it look fun. That was exactly what he needed. Without hestitation, Paxon stepped instep and let the music swallow him. Species of all kind were dancing everywhere and it wasn't long before the avian joined them.

Sun chilled at a strange building. Sun decided to send of a cannon for no reason. It went up, but then, you can guess what happened. It hit Sun's head. "Yow!" He yowled loudly but then regreted it. Creatures were looking at him. "Yikes" Sun muttered before everyone stared at him. "This is so embarrasing" Sun thought.

A holographic map, probably for tourist purposes, sprawled on the side of the road. Ona found the planet she was on. Everywhere was so far away. She needed some sort of transport, preferably something under the Grox's radar, so to speak. There was a noise behind her. She turned and noticed people murmuring and pointing at a curl of smoke rising above a faraway hill. She tapped the shoulder of a young cat-like creature. "What is that?"
"Probably a spaceship crash." The creature's long tail swished as it grinned unnaturally wide. "Whatever fool crashed is long gone. If it is still alive."
The cat-thing's overly cheerful demeanor was a little worrisome. Ona backed away. This was none of her business. She needed to find something to eat. Again the Grox-things marched by. Ona quickly turned her head down, hugging her jacket around her. None of my business, she reminded herself. None of this is my business.

As Marai headed inside the city, she could notice how most of the civilians had implants, and by the structure of those implants, they were all Grox technology.
Feeling mortified, Marai kept on walking on the streets, hoping to find something to repair her ship. She didn't want to act menacing or evil to the civilians. Once she got a repair for her ship, Marai will leave quickly.
Eventually, they saw a person who stood out from the Grox implanted civilians. They ignored them for a bit, before moving on.

Ona pushed though the people. Now that she had time to really notice them, there was an unsettling sameness about the citizens. Something was wrong, and she could not quite put her finger on it. She glanced up, noticing someone moving past her. She seemed more... aware then the residents of the city. The face looked so familiar.
She fingered her necklace. This was getting harder to ignore.

@nightmaremoon12
I have no idea what the implants look like 😊

I made a new character: Dove
She is accepted.

Sun sneaked off, unfound. Everyone was shouting at the noise, and nobody looked anywhere else. Sun got in someone's spaceship and flew off. Sun arrived at a small planet that looked Grox-infected. "I should stop them!" Sun thought as Sun landed on the planet.

Dove arrived at the building. 'What is going on?" She thought. There were creatures shouting and she didn't like that. She poked someone not staring at the crash with her tail. "Hi, whatz going on?" She plucked a feather of one of her wings and twisted it around in worry about what is going on.

@izz (There's a picture of Remai, a Grox on the sign-ups. It looks similar to that. Grox implants follow the color scheme of being dark metallic gray in color, and the cybernetic eyes are red. The Grox always has their implants on the right side, but others with those Grox implants don't follow that rule)

Marai anxiously walked around the city. She was getting a bit nervewrecking, but a bit shocked as to why the Grox kept them alive. All of them were braindead, like zombies. She tried to make contact with them, but they all ignored her. Was it the implants she had?
Shrugging it off, Marai found what appears to be a shop for spaceship parts and repair. When she got closer, the shopkeeper was a regular creature, with none of the Grox implants.
"May I help you?" They asked.
Marai responded, "I just need a repair pack for my ship. I crashed here, and I'm not going to stay for a while..." She slid down the money to the shopkeeper.

"Are you sure you're not doing anything suspicious?" The shopkeeper asked. "You look just like that one person the Grox have been pestering me for the past couple of [insert substitution for months here] and they wouldn't take no for an answer." They handed her the repair pack, which was a one-time use set of items to repair the ship so it could at least be flying again.
Marai was a bit anxious. "So what would happen if you find this one person?" She asked in fear.
They yawned in response. "Nothing at all. If the Grox want that person back so much, they should just find them instead of assigning some others to do the work for them."

"...Oh." Marai said, before heading off. "I must go now. Farewell." She left the shopkeeper, and continued to move past the zombielike citizens, not wanting to make contact with them at all anymore.
Marai looked at this one person, however. They were out of place. No sign of any Grox implants. It's getting a bit anxious.
Taking a deep breath, Marai walked outside the city walls, before looking at the giant ship she has taken and modified from the Grox. It doesn't even follow the structure and color of their ships, so no matter what, she's going to stand out.

Sorry for all the drama in this looong paragraph

Dove flew off. She knew she saw another cat there. She crashed into Sun as he stood around. "Uh... hi?" Dove said. Was this really him? It seemed like such a long time ago they lived together as kittens. Sun's not cyborg eye lit up as he wrapped his tail with hers. "It's been so long, I thought I never would see you again." Sun purred as he invited Dove onto the spaceship. "Why are you here? What happened?" Dove was confused. She had left Sun a long time ago, but she never expected to find him like this! Sun let out a amused purr. "Well, it's a looong story, but i'll tell you if you have 5 years to waste!" He brought out a small feather. "This is how long it's been." The feather was old and dusty. Dove stared at Sun. This really is him! She let out a purr as loud as Sun's and entwined their tails together

Ona wandered into a shop. The shopkeeper looked up from polishing a metal part on his arm. He smiled. It was a more natural smile then the one she had seen on the street. Ona cleared her throat. "Hello..."
"You aren't from her are you?" He interrupted her. "Funny, haven't seen anyone new for eons and I get two strangers in one day."
"I'm visiting." She wondered who the other stranger was. "Do you know of any transport I could find?"
"Depends. Where do you want to go?"
Anywhere away from here, she thought. But before she could respond, he continued. "Trick question. The Grox shut down all the ports. The last normal ship left an hour ago." He frowned suddenly. "Then why did she say she needed repairs?"
"Who...? Never mind." Ona exited the shop quickly, pushing through the zombie-like populace. The last ship would have been the one she came on. Now what could she do?

Sorry, shortish

Marai began working on repairs for her ship's engines and FTL drives. Nothing else was broken except for a left wing. When she found some strange markings on the wings, she knew it came from an attack. The Grox were trying to get rid of her.
Once she was finished making the repairs for everything, she got on her ship. It was still rundown, but she could go for something other than nothing. Turning on everything, the ship began to make a strange noise, before slowly ascending into the sky.
~
Haru was busy trying to find signs of Marai - if she was still alive - in space. There weren't any space debris, but he still needed to be cautious. Even if Remai did manage to kill her, it didn't hurt to try.

Ivara saw the ship slowly ascend when she was going to what seamed to be a city. Fueled by her curiosity she started to go in the direction where the ship ascended. Ivara pulled out her melee weapon just in case it was somthing hostile.
Soon Ivara reached the site where the ship ascended now looking around the area "Ey anyone ere?" Ivara soon called out. Lowering her weapons and walking around staying in the perimeter where the ship ascended. Then soon using her wings to get on the ship trying to catch up with it.
(I skip h's in some words and that's how I talk so I gave Ivara that trait of mine.)

Marai had noticed somebody getting on her ship as it ascended. Curious, but a bit annoyed, she turned the ship on autopilot before exiting the ship's interior, standing on top of the entire thing.
"What is it?" Marai mumbled, before she noticed somebody trying to reach her ship.
"Hey!" She exclaimed. "I don't know what you're trying to do, but you need to leave, now." She grabbed her rifle, before pointing it at the creature. "I don't expect you to survive the empty void of space." She fired a barrage of energy shots towards the creature, trying to force them to get out of her ship.
~~~
Haru noticed the same Grox-like signals towards a planet with a populated city known as Tren. When his spaceship got closer, he could see from a distance that the same creature was outside her ship, and trying to get rid of somebody invading her ship.
"That doesn't look great." They muttered, before launching a small flying pod and flying towards the ship using it. "Not on my watch!" He said, his voice aiming towards Marai.
Ivara would have been shot down dead if it weren't for the shields. Getting attacked was probably her fault since she did attempt get get on a wing of a random ship. She made a torrent of wind circling her for she had time to regenerate her shields. She descended back to the ground and was a bit frustrated since she didn't get any answers.
Marai was about to enter back her ship when she saw a flying pod approach her. Annoyed when she saw Haru manning the pod, bursts of electricity flew out of her hands, and attacked the pod.
WARNING. CRITICAL ERROR. SELF DESTRUCT IN FIVE SECONDS.
Haru immediately ejected off from the pod and shapeshifted into a small bird, before landing nearby Marai and turned to his human self. The pod exploded from a distance. "Remai might as well think you're dead, but I know you're not. Everyone knows that if a threat like you survives, you're even more feared than the Grox." He grabbed a long flat leaf from his pocket, and shapeshifted it into a staff, electricity surging from the top.
"While my illusions may seem fake, they're all real!" Haru swung the staff towards Marai, trying to electricute her.
Marai quickly dodged the attacks, knowing that a single shock will cause her implants to be disabled, rendering her weak. Once she saw a weak spot in Haru, she grabbed the staff, and tried to push the electric part towards Haru. He was near the edge of the ship's wing, so there was the option to push him off the ship, and plummet into the ground. There was also the option to keep Haru there until the ship leaves the atmosphere.
Marai chose none of those moves, and managed to grab the staff from Haru, and toss it off the wing. "We're exiting the planet, by the way." The ship was spacious enough for a battle, and Marai knew the ship all too well.
I'm gonna call Sun a boy for now, as he was a tom when he was normal.
Dove flew off. She was tipping, and was about to crash. She desperately tried to rebalance herself, but crashes into a ship. She yowls and sets off a torrent of water everywhere. "Whoops," she thought as the ship got wet. She tried to sneak off, but panicked and sprayed water everywhere.
Sun purred as he watched Dove spray everything. "Yikes!" he thought as he dodged the spray. "Come on, we got to go!" He called. They were about to leave.
Marai was infuriated when somebody decided to soak her ship. She quickly got inside the captain's room, and rapidly fired strong fast moving missiles towards the ship. She was at least glad she or the ship's interior wasn't soaked up. And about Haru? She'll leave him there. The missiles were autoseeking, and targeted Dove and Sun's ship. "These people almost killed me..." The water in the ship immediately evaportated, before firing an even larger missile towards the ship.
"You can't just leave me here!" Haru exclaimed, before following Marai into the ship's interior. He still had that small device Remai gave him, and Marai's entire ship had no oxygen whatsoever. It was a death trap to enter Marai's ship.
He ran towards Marai, trying to get into the captain's room, but was immediately blocked by Grox-technology gates and systems. He tried to enter some codes, but to no avail. Haru then proceeded to try everything he could to open the door.
Mehanes rolled her eyes as she watched the familiar ship arriving. Pyralite was an old friend, although Mehanes supposed that they weren't too knowledgeable about what happened to Mehanes after he left.
Mehanes approached the door of the ship as it docked. He grinned as the door opened to reveal the Drakonian.
"Pyralite," the said. "It's been a long time."
Pryalite glared in such a way that Mehanes wondered if their friend was able to see under that cloth covering their eyes.
"We all thought you abandoned us Mehanes."
"I was captured. Forced to fuse with a dragon. I didn't want to face home after that. I was worried those would see me as a monstrosity." he explained.
Pyralite nodded. "Alright. Just, please tell me that the Grox aren't around here. I can't face them at this time."
"The Grox? You can't really escape them from what I've heard. And you certainly won't find a safe space here. Although they tend to leave me alone. I made quite the first impression."
Pyralite sighed but moved away from their ship. "If you say so. I just hope this place is safer than home."
@izz I can have Haru meet up with your character.
Haru eventually gave up, and quickly exited the ship before it could leave the atmosphere. He called his ship through a device, and warped towards the captain's room immediately. Sighing, he slowly landed nearby a darkskinned humanoid, and left the ship from there.
"What are you doing over here? Are you looking for someone to pick you up?" Haru asked. "Actually... How about I send you on your merry way? I'm trying to capture someone, and I could use the assistance." He smiled, trying to get the person's attention and interest.
I stepped back from the strange creature before me. Long years of experience have taught me to be wary of strangers. "Umm..." I slipped my hand into my coat, fingering the knife I kept there. If the person he was trying to capture was who I thought she was, this thing was working for the Grox. I had promised myself years ago I would have no dealings for or against them. But the creature was a way off the planet, and I was running out of options. "Why do you need me?"
Just realized I wrote in first person. Won't happen again 😊
"No reason," Haru said. "I can send you back to your home, or I can just leave you here with those Grox monstrosities." He smiled, his tail and ears moving crazily. "Those Grox are so annoying. Once I bring that girl to them, I'm going to fight them all, and save whoever needs saving. I'm not one to pick sides, that doesn't nessaccarily mean I'm good."
He then slowly moved towards his ship, about to leave Ona behind. "If you want to leave this planet, then follow me. If not, then you can just stay."
Sun yowled as something hit him. Dove decided what to do. She went to Sun and said "Protect me for a sec." Sun was confused, but he did. Dove charged her power. "If they wanna fight, i Will Fight!" She formed a water bomb and hurled it at the ship. "Run!" Sun called. Dove lifted Sun and flew off.
Marai rolled her eyes. It was no use trying to chase some little runts. She activated a force field on her ship, preventing her from getting the ship soaked up, and retaliated with a Grox favorite. The force field then disappeared, before she leaned back on her chair and sighed.
"I literally need a break," she groaned, before standing up and setting the ship to autopilot towards a lush yet wild planet. That meant no sentient life exists on the planet, plus the Grox would die if they step foot into habitable planets. It was a temporary safe haven, but it'll do for now. Marai would have to find the star Sol and go to Earth with other rebels, but there's no time for that.
The ship is self-repairing autopilot and the FTL drives until they were functional for an actual space adventure. Marai left the captain's room and went to another place in the large ship. It was basically an apartment inside her ship. The room had a bed, some gadgets lying on a desk, and hiding in its own small dent in the wall was a giant tube that was empty. She had been contemplating on creating multiple clones of herself that share memories. In fact, Marai could do it with the technology she has.
Sighing, Marai headed off to bed, sleeping off everything. It would take a few hours before the drive and autopilot would begin to work once again, but she knew that if she woke up, she would wake up seeing her ship in orbit of a lush, colorful planet.
