So @degong and I have been working on this for a very long time now. Ping either of us when submitting your form. 😃

Story:

All across the world, a widespread disease went from person to person, infecting everyone. It was called Kindness. Spread through good works and charity, Kindness was unstoppable. That was so until a group of villains decided to end Kindness, and created an evil serum, dubbed Hatred.
The villains' goal became to infect everyone with Hatred, however a group of heroes rose up and began stopping the villains, and this became their life goal.
Both sides are always on the look out for more recruits and bestow powers that correspond with the color of one's true name. Heroes and villains alike use these powers to spread Kindness and Hatred and stop the other. Who will reign supreme in this battle of emotion? It is all up to you in this battle of Kindness and Hatred...

Information About Magical Abilities:

The magical abilities, or powers, are dictated by a character's true name. The color of a character's true name will correspond with the magic ability. For example: a purple name (like Kind), would have a power from the abilities listed under purple.
At the age of sixteen, recruits will go to a tester from their respective team and go through a virtual world to find their true name. In the virtual world, they will need to sneak through a facility and reach a top secret room. The secret room is filled with all kinds of vials and containers and tubes, all holding a different power. The testee will feel drawn to a certain one, almost like a trance. Then, when they touch the container containing the power, it shatters and the power gets absorbed by them. Their new magic then stays with them when they come back to reality.

Red: Fire, heat
Yellow: Electricity, light, super speed
Green: Life (nature), poison, healing
Blue: Water, ice, storms, wind
Purple: Telekinesis, invisibility
Black: Necromancy, shadow manipulation, illusions

Limitations (the restriction of your power): ??? [attempt] her ability is too overpowered, yet the obstacle of not being able to control and use her power intellectually hinders her usefulness (worth) in battle.

Appearance (Everyday): Waist lengthed brown 3A hair. High waisted jeans, a gray long sleeved shirt with sleeves pulled up, a cream colored scarve, a wine red skirt a little above the knees with tights under. Several golden colored bracelets on both arms. Black pump high heels and with my hair either loose or in two tight buns with one or two small curls sticking out by my forehead.

History/Backstory: Decided to become a hero to fend off hatred after experiencing how it affected her loved ones. She originally wanted to major in business and decide what kind of job she wanted from there that was in relation to business. She also developed a sixth sense of knowing when someone is around her due to a recent trauma of being kidnapped, abused and nearly raped.

Writing Sample (5+ sentences):

As I get off the plane, I stop to look out the large windows covering most of the wall in the hallway. I look at the tall modern buildings of NYC. “So this is it, huh?”, I thought to myself as I scanned through the view.

I proceeded to pick up my luggage and head on my way. Apparently, a ride was supposedly provided for me that would take me to the Kindness Base. Ever since ’that’ time, I’ve never been able to trust any strangers so I was a little against the decision to accept the ride there.
