So my Tific was born on February 1, 2012. My Tific
The Archives says "Available Jan 9 - Jan 31, 2012."
Is something wrong?

This is not a glitch. Sometimes creatures weren't promptly removed from the Cave so it was possible to get them for a few hours after they should have been retired. It appears that this is what happened with your Tific.
