Hey guys! I *really* want something to read...Well, I have a taste in classical books (Hans Christian Anderson is epic *0*) but NOT excessively love-dovey ones (the aforementioned Hans Christian Anderson Fairytales have actually some REALLY deep themes in them)

Here are choices I assume will be popular:
-The Hunger Games
-Warriors
-Harry Potter
-Twilight

Firerose by Mercedes Lackey and pretty much anything from Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters series, they are all awesome retellings of old fairy tales.

I would suggest The Hunger Games trilogy if you don't mind some violence and romance. 😊

Summary on the back of the first book:

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place. But Katniss has been close to dead before-and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life againt love.

I'm guessing you already know what it is, but... xD

I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of violence or romance, but I loved this series. :]
