gray lines to the side

@ian on chrome for pc. i think it was because they had made a comment super long, like this:

all comments above this line will be deleted~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


but all on one line.

our system will magically trim a long sequence of repetitive characters now to prevent the page from breaking. thanks.
