The Yowler:

This is a feline with a temperament. This small cat is fairly aggressive and live in rather tiny groups, usually consisting of 3-5 members. They are aggressive by nature due to territorial issues and will drive away anything as they see fit. Yowlers are named for their strange flowering display of yellow petals and blue middled flowers that grow on their fluffy tails, crossed with a cute melodic yowl. This yowl is pleasant to the ears and is heard across green grasslands during dusk and dawn on warm spring days. This yowl lets others know of their presence for territorial reasons.

Because they are alert and active when the lighting is low (dusk and dawn) their eyes have adapted to not only take in a large amount of light, causing them to have huge round eyes, but are capable of producing their own light. These glowing yellow eyes act simply as flashlights.

Yowlers have a thick mossy green coat similar to sloths due to a symbiotic relationship with green algae. This is also why Yowlers only appear during spring when the conditions are warm and humid during the low light hours of day. To care for the algae! Their flowers only flourish once a year when conditions are perfect and live in dull lightning like mushrooms.

The Egg:

The Yowlers eggs are laid in dark, dim lightning. They can be found in caves, in hollowed out logs or any other secure and dark place. Before a Yowler has even hatched, a flower has flourished on the mossy outside of their egg shell which will die when the Yowler hatches. Don’t worry a new one will grow next spring. Little light blue stripes also appear on the egg which is part of the Yowlers coat markings when it matures.

The Yowler kit is cared for by the whole pack and taught how to hunt, play and fight like any young feline. In a few short months the Yowler will reach a mature age at 500 feeds.

The Stages:

A Yowler is a very primitive creatures and thus, to survive it has to learn and grow fast. It hatches and is born ready to fend for itself, with some support and learnings from its pack. Thus it has only an egg and mature stage.

Wow, that's a great idea! I myself love cats so any cat related creature will definitely be loved by me xD
Great description and did you just do a rough sketch first? If so, I would take about a day to draw that, but I'll bet you that the proportions will be off and it will look to much like a human xD
