The cat was so startled it fell into a hole in the icy lake, and jumped up 9 feet into the air in surprise then fell back in again.

And while the mice were laughing their heads off, the cat ran- or rather stumbled, because he was in a block of ice- into a cave that was warm and... slightly wet.
