On a child's tenth birthday, they will feel very odd. This is due to the golden marking that appears somewhere on their body. This marking can be anything from a circle to a mythical creature. Depending on what kind of marking they have, they are placed in different positions to work in for the rest of their lives. If your mark doesn't come, you're an outcast and get taken away. So what happens when a new type of marking changes the world forever?

The type of mark most people have is a Golden Mark. It is a soft gold marking that typically appears on a person's back, neck, face, arms, or legs, and it is made out of a jelly-like substance that is injected into the blood periodically. Depending on your blood, it will be anywhere from a dull yellow to the color of true gold. Markless people are taken to the Mark Creation Center, where they are tested to learn more about marks in hopes of creating artificial marks that behave like real ones. They do not survive that long due to the lack of the precious jelly substance that the body needs to function as they mature.
The new mark is a crystalline mark that has been dubbed as Crystal Marks due to the fact that it is jagged and resembles a crystal in transparency and color. There is not much known about it, except it functions almost the same as a regular mark, except it also secretes an odd substance that increases the owner's physical and mental capabilities. Anyone who sees someone with a Crystal Mark is supposed to capture that person, and if they are successful they will receive a hefty reward. There are only 7 Crystal Marked people in the world, and all of them are high on the Wanted List.

Crystal: In her back is a white mark of Hati and Skoll.
Appearance: A light brown short bobcat haired lady. In her back is white mark of Hati and Skoll (search those two in the Internet). She wears a grey overcoat and a buttoned-up white chiffon shirt. Wears matching black pants and court shoes. Has attractive grey eyes and wears purple glasses.
Personality: She is sweet, smart, sly and kind. But in times of battle, she is ruthless and merciless.
Backstory: Sarah is born with a rich family. She had found out that she had a marking on her back at the age of 10, and kept in secret for many years. She became a general in the age of 20,and retired in the age of 28. In the end, she kills people who threaten or trying to capture her kind for rewards.
Other: At the same age of 28, she forms a notorious vigilante group, "The Hidden Eye". Their emblem or coat of arms: at the right, a white wolf is chasing the sun, at the left, a black wolf is chasing the moon, on the middle is a sword covered in raven's feathers. The background color is grey.

Crystal: A star with a swirl of cloud/wind around it. It appears on the underside of her left wrist. The color is a light blueish purple.
Appearance: A quiet girl who often wears long sweatshirts to cover her mark. She also has long black hair and soft brown eyes. She is thin, but doesn't seem to have a lot of muscle. She also wears a star pendant and has a fake golden mark on her right hand that looks like a moon.
Personality: She doesn't mean any harm and wants to stay in society, but understands the dangers it poses. She is manipulative and cunning, yet she only appears to be a shy girl.
Backstory: Uni is the daughter of a middle-class family who lives an average life, but no one in her family actually loves her. They simply want her to grow up and get a good job, then send them the money. One of her friends betrayed her and ended up getting her dog killed, which made her a social recluse for good. She is slowly investigating the Hidden Eye, hoping to either join or expose them.
Other: Uni has skills in disguising herself, blackmail and is currently feeling lost and betrayed. Her parent do not care what she does, as long as she has good grades.

Name: Shadow Mythlight
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Crystal: A ringed planet / Silver / Left upper arm
Appearance: A small black haired boy with yellow eyes. He wears bandages around his arm to cover up his mark and a cat eared headband.
Personality: He is a bit hardheaded and stubborn when he wants to be, but he normally acts all sweet and happy to draw attention away from how odd he appears. He typically doubts himself when compared to others, and attempts to stay away from most people.
Backstory: He was born to two people in an occult who worship the Crystal Marked, so it wasn't much of an issue to him when his mark appeared. In fact, all of the people there cherished him and swore to protect him from society. But then, somebody happened to snitch to the police that there was a group who supported a person with a Crystal Mark, and that's when his life fell apart. The group was captured and when one of the officers tried to grab him, he underestimated his boosted strength and ended up destroying the officer's mark completely. Then he went on the run with only his cat to keep him company.
Other: He has a cat named Leo who I will play on the side and might become a plot device.

Personality: Leo is the relaxed type, but never fails to get his job done.
Backstory: When Shadow was five, Leo was adopted by Shadow's family. He lived comfortably until someone ratted them out, then Shadow grabbed Leo and ran. Leo then became Shadow's devoted partner.

Crystal: 8 pointed star / Gold / Nape of neck.
Appearance: Brown hair that's long enough to hide the crystal, green eyes with flecks of gold, tan skin, wears a brown leather jacket with a white shirt underneath (the shirt somehow manages to stay white after not washing it for a month), black pants, knee-high leather boots.
Personality: Cocky, usually optimistic, has spurts of extreme pessimism, likes to sprint long distances (he's fast too), hides all his real feelings under laughter and jokes
Backstory: Jensen's mother was killed in an unknown accident and his father got so drunk he didn't recognise his own son. He finally got tired of being abused by his father when he DID finally recognise him, that he packed his only bag and ran away to the forest. After a day there, his father told the police he'd run away and that he had a crystal, and they came fter him. He barely got away with his life at the cost of the group of cops' lives. he's become mostly numb to killing and pain, but still hates giving it to people.
Other: He always has a knife on him, even if the people who capture him they all the ones they can find away.

Personality: Usually not that social. Was teased about her mark and therefore hid it. Very shy and quiet. At times, very serious.
Backstory: Started to hide after her markless mother(somehow managed to survive thanks to a type of spell) died. Her father disappeared before her death.
