"notes to self" Side tab

I was thinking of this small idea, a side bar(aka where the clock/ec/cc/search bar is) where you can write notes like "daily cove feeds"(then you could like link them like @cubexline type thing) "I owe user a freeze" Etc. Nobody else can see it, it just seems handy to me. It shouldn't be too big unless you add a lot(just for those who don't need it doesn't have it in the way)

Anyone like this or is this another fail idea of mine? 😋
