What are evolution points?

I have a creature with a star and everyday I get a notification saying I get Evolution Points.What are evolution points?

@akikoayama That refers to whichever stat they need to evolve. So if the star creature evolves using Views, they will gain an extra number of Views everyday. If the creature needs Clicks to evolve, they will gain an extra number of Clicks.
