Why Aren't All My Creatures Dead

So I played this game a while ago and only just returned after ages of not playing. I was expecting to only have a few creatures left because they die if they're not fed and are under level 2000, right? Most of mine aren't over level 2000 and yet they're still here. I wouldn't know if any had died, but as far as I can tell none of them did. Why?

It could be that you might have a item called the "Leaf of Vaka", whhich is a CC item that keeps all of your creatures at 100% happiness so long as it is in your inventory or strongroom.
That or some user(s) might've been feeding your cove while you where gone. 😊

Thank you, I do have the leaf of vaka. Must have bought it for exactly this situation.
