Views decrease

Earlier today, I scrolled through my cove (https://eggcave.com/cove) and noticed my Jubaleen had crossed the 4500 views needed to reach its final evolution. However, the image shown was still the 3rd stage and I hadn't gotten an evolution notification yet. I refreshed my profile and then the Jubaleen's image updated to the final stage & I received a notification saying it evolved.

It seemed strange that I only got the notification when the image updated. Usually, I get the evolution notification as soon as the creature reaches the stat it needs, and the image may be slow to update but that's fixed when I refresh.

A few hours later, I checked the creature again and its views were under 4500 views and it reverted back to the previous stage.

Was there some miscalculation of views that caused my creature to evolve when it shouldn't have?
