A forest that echoes with the sounds of water.A creek divides it in the middle.Surrounding mountains,dark and forbidding,loom over the forest.A cheerful sunlit glade is at the north end;this is Celebration Clearing.In the south,however,you begin to notice that the forest grows ominously still and grayer.Eventually you come to a wide dark treeless area.You spot a black shining cave hidden behind thorny,forbidding bushes.The Seer's Cave,The Glade of Darkness.

Merona yowled as her cruel owners tossed her back and forth like a ball.Screaming,she wriggled out of their grasp,only to be picked up and spanked and tossed again.When her torment ended she ran,ran as fast as she could,in the neighbouring woods.Late that night,her owners came looking for her.Merona hid,swearing never to return.
