@apanthus hi! welcome to eggcave😊 ❤️

if you click on your creatures from your profile, their species name is in red at the top of the page. if you click that link, it will take you to the listing in the archives (https://eggcave.com/archives) where you can see how it takes to hatch the creature. they hatch with views (viewing the pic), clicks (on the link), or feeds (the feed button). you can only do these once a day per creature, but if you send the link to your friends they can help you evolve them faster!

let me know if you need anything ! 😃 theres also an FAQ page here! https://eggcave.com/help

@apanthus - Welcome to Egg Cave!

Every egg requires a certain amount of a specific stat in order to hatch and evolve. For example, your Icenyro requires 150 clicks to hatch. You can find out what each species needs by looking it up in the Archives (under the Explore tab at the top), or by visiting your cove's page (click the "[amount] Creatures" box in the sidebar, or hover over your profile creature at the top and click "My Creatures") - the blue number next to one of your creature's stats on your cove's page is how much more it needs to evolve.

Views are gained when someone visits any page with your creature's image on it, clicks are gained by someone clicking on your creature, feeds are gained by someone clicking the feed button on its profile. You can gain stats by using the on-site click exchange (click the "[amount] XC" box, although this can be slow outside of events), by using an off-site click exchange such as Yarolds, or by feeding coves (most people will feed you back but it's not guaranteed). Make sure a cove is "feed friendly" before feeding or you might end up giving stats to a creature that user wants kept in a specific stage, people usually write this in their profile but feel free to ask someone if you're not sure. When using something like Yarolds, make sure your creature's link says /click/ and not /egg/ or it won't gain any clicks (unless you don't actually want it to gain clicks for whatever reason).

Sorry if any of this is worded weirdly. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

EDIT: Whoops, ninja'd by eleven seconds.

@americanwerewolf
Do you mean you accidently set them to click in the Exchange? If so, you only need to go back to the Manage Creatures tab of the click exchange (the page you entered them in on OR https://eggcave.com/exchange/creatures ), and change the drop down box on the right side of the tile with the creature. It's under the Actions tab.
