To breed or not to breed?

There are a lot of topics where people rant about why breeding should/shouldn't be available to eggcavers. (No offense meant to ranters; I rant sometimes too 😋)
This isn't meant to be one of those - just post "yes" or "no." (Or maybe.)

Breeding would sorta be cheating if you have two of the same pet... Also, that wouldnt make a pet Limited Edition.
