I think, it depends. With onnies, no, because I would like to keep it so I have one of the only ones, but that is just my greed talking. So it depends.

I say yes
With limitations. Like, every critter can only be bred twice, and the rarer the creature the less of a chance you'd get it.
So, if you breed an Onny twice but get nothing; it can't be bred again.
