🏜️ Idea for Leila Oasis (less competition, more cooperation) 🌵

I just had this idea, take it or leave it:

How about instead of there being a limited number of creatures available each time The Oasis stocks, there's a certain window of time (a few minutes, maybe), and everyone who visits the Oasis in that time gets one random creature?

That way, there would be less resentment between players (my understanding is that there are a few players who get most of them and then flip them for a bunch more ec/cc) and would create more of a feeling of cooperation between players. Maybe there would be a thread dedicated to people announcing when there's an Oasis drop, like with Tarla's Toolbar on Neopets.

It would probably increase the amount of Oasis creatures in circulation, but I think it would make people feel better about the site in general. Maybe it would even increase the likelihood of people spending real money on the site? 😉

@tryvegan4theanimals This would be awesome! And one a piece sounds fair. The one time I went to the oasis and found something there was only one creature there, so I wasn't aware that hoarding was an issue. But I can definitely see that happening and that would make a lot of sense. We could still keep the oasis as a rare thing and keep it at a short window (maybe after a certain about of creatures are stolen or maybe an actual time frame) while allowing a greater chance for people to experience the oasis.

i have to agree, ive been on this site for about a year now & i think sometime last month was the only time i have ever seen anything in the oasis at all. i typically circulate through the cave, thief shop, the oasis, & sometimes the auctions daily to see if there's anything new. the one time i saw anything in the oasis & clicked on the egg i took so long to name it that, by the time i came up with something that hadnt been taken already, it said the creature was gone ☹️
