Does pet gender matter?

I saw that there are CC items for changing a pet’s gender. Does gender actually affect anything?

@kairinrose Gender doesn't affects anything, it's only cosmetic, regarding creatures. 😊 Some creatures are very hard to obtain and one might prefer a specific gender of the creature. If they cannot get the desired gender, but only the other, they can still use a Mars/Venus stone to change it.
