Obtaining Views on Pets

Haiii I tried searching around for this but couldn't find an answer. I was wondering if the views a creature gets only work on this website itself. Orrr does it also track if I were to use the code to put the creature in my signature on other forums also counts. Like if someone viewed my signature or a forum post on chicken smoothie and it had the image of the pet plus the link would that count for a view? (Im not sure if that's even possible tho lol)

Also, I found this in Increasing Stats section of the Player Guide:

"What are views? How do I get more of them?
A creature receives one view when any person on the Internet loads and sees the creature. To receive views quicker, put your creature in different places around the Internet like forum signatures, Facebook, and Twitter."
