Immortal Creatures - How do I know they've made it?

So, last year I moved a Gleggo to my immortal side account because it met the "20 level" mark and I got a notification that it was immortal. But then it died. I went back and looked at the stats. Although the level had said 20, when I added views, clicks and feeds and then divided by 3, the level showed it should have been 19.

I'm worried about my new Gleggo, "Reciprocated" because although it says immortal, I'm worried it will die like my other Gleggo. Same goes for my Zellenadrak "Bitzee." Both got the notification that it reached immortal but the stats show it should only be at level 19.

Do I just not understand how creatures become immortal?

@ravensong It sounds like that first Gleggo dying was probably a glitch, did you ever open a ticket and talk to staff about it?

I think, if you are using the stats to calculate what the level should be, maybe you are rounding down instead of up? For example the Zellenadrak's current stats ends up giving it a 'level' of 19.39, but that end result is always rounded *up* to the nearest level, so it's correct that the Zellenadrak is in fact at level 20 and is immortal.

edit to add the official creature-level equation:
ceil((Views + Clicks + Feeds) / 3) / 100)
where ceil means round up
