Thank you 🥹 I worry that I won't get it out in time for voting and then it'll be useless XD I'm so glad you all appreciate it! And yes minnie I'm almost at the easy part where I just have to add recents and move rereleases - 5 changes max each month to ones I already have! Sounds nice 😋

While I have y'all here I want your opinions - I worry that the list in the first post is getting a bit long. Should I keep all of them there, or delete the older ones so only the past year at most is there? Or something else?? Suggestions welcomed

No worries with the delay for me, I was able to use last years to work out what I wanted to vote for.

As for your question, I think just having a years worth of links would be enough. Then just updating each month as it rolls around, which could be done anytime after the release announcement (so technically the August 2026 list could be updated now as the rereleases and monthlies shouldn't be eligible next year), and before it's next needed. So if it fits into your schedule better doing the updates for a couple of months at once instead of each one as needed.

I'm not overly familiar with google docs, but if there is a way to note when the list was updated on the list, that might be handy.

I've been appreciating how you're doing it with simply putting the most recent one up top - I don't even notice the length otherwise lol I agree with Minnie that if you want to keep it short, it could be the last 12 months only

Thanks for the suggestions @minnie298a @mythisea ! I'll stick with one year's worth, and will also try to move the current one to the top each month since that seems to be useful 😊

I can't quite remember all the rules regarding timeframes so I'm not sure if I can work out which ones to add/remove in advance lol (add a year of newly released, remove a year of rereleased, add a year of rereleased? which year?, ...) so it'll just stay like this until I can get round to working it out 💔

October is out now if anyone still needs

Thank you ChaoticTreat for maintaining the lists! It makes it so much easier to decide!
(I know I don't post much in the thread, but I use the lists most months. It's one of the user generated projects I appreciate a lot. Easily in the shadow of Greats like Eggcavity & The Advent Tree list. Wish it could be pinned.)

@snowywinter Haha I'm sorry, since I updated them all at once for most of this year, I haven't been posting every month that I've updated them, so it might have gotten quite lost! I'll try and bump it with monthly reminders/changes more often in future for you all 😋

Just noting that I've moved the current month to the top again (forgot to do that for a while, sorry!)
If anyone notices anything wrong with my lists by the way please let me know as I did all of these in advance (and will be doing next year's soon, as I only have up to January right now!)

(for the record, I'd prefer with the months on the post staying in a stagnate chronological order. January at top, December at bottom. Easier to find.
It would be less work too.
I'm go with the flow though if other people prefer having most relevant at top.)

Is there anything we can do to help make the update process easier for you? Or is it just a matter of editing the documents on your end?

@snowywinter hmm I wish there was an easy way of doing a temporary poll rn because I've had conflicting opinions on that lol, I'm not sure whether to keep moving them up or not XD guess I'll see whether I remember to for the next few months and if I don't I'll just put them back in static order, otherwise idk
Nope just editing the documents! Going through the archives with the year tags to find which ones to add/remove 😊 nothing you guys need to (or really can) do to help!

oof, yeah... at times the polls seem so simple, then one time I went to remove a poll and accidentally deleted the whole post. -_- (Almost have to make a separate thread for polls just for ease of use.) I love polls, but they are such a pain in the butt to use here.

okay, well good luck on the endeavor!
I'll be waiting patiently for the new batch.
(and don't feel pressured if you run behind. We always have the Archives to fall back on.)

(I know there is some creature I meant to send a ticket on, because its year release got labeled wrong on the site Archive page... but for the life of me can't remember which one it was. And one was missing a Year tag, so it doesn't even show up clicking on that year. I had to search it by event. I really need to take better notes.)
