Why are some cove’s not feed friendly?

Question is same as title. Why do some people not want their creatures getting fed? I’m very new to this game so I just don’t fully understand (:

@markersss Welcome to Eggcave! Some people may not want their creatures fed because they want to keep some at specific stages instead of them growing to an adult.
You can permanently keep a creature at a lower stage by using an "Essence of Litsdnats" potion from the Cash Shop, but if that's not affordable at the moment a user might want to avoid feeds until they can buy the potion.
