How exactly do you earn money on here as a newcomer?

I'm coming here from Neopets-type games that usually have you doing quests or playing games to earn money, but from what I can tell, this isn't exactly how this site works.

Thanks for any and all help! I'm still very new to this haha

@eviltruck In case you haven't seen, today is Double-Feed day, which means you can get up to double the amount of egg coins for every creature you feed. This happens once a month on the second Sunday of the month.

The easiest way to earn money is through feeding. It averages out to about 100 ec a feed. The second Sunday each month is Double feed day, where you earn extra for feeding. The Click Exchange (under Social in the header) is a place to find creatures to feed as well. Also, as a heads up, the creatures here can die if their happiness drops low enough. Feeding is also the easiest way to boost that.

Other easy/quick ways to earn:
- By logging in every day you get a bonus. I think it starts at 100 ec, but increases each day to a max of 3000. If you miss a day it resets.
- Do the Trivia question (located under "Games" in the header). The answers are always found in the "Archives" under the Explore dropdown. Most questions are easy to hunt the answers down for, but some do require some site experience. It's 10k for what is usually a minute worth of researching.
- Collect your bank interest. This resets at midnight Eggcave Time. However, it needs to be done before any other bank transactions occur. It will start out small, but is free ec for a couple of clicks.

Others:
- Wall of Sandrodon - Guessing game. Free, but hard to win. Prize is 10k ec and an item.
- Alkub racing - Costs 1k ec, prize is 10k. 1 in 5 chance to win. It's a gamble.
- Asteroid (under Explore) - Rarely gives out creatures, but is free, quick and some creatures are expensive because of their rarity.
- Oasis (under Explore) - Again, rarely find anything, but it is free. The creatures here where once Cave common, but are now retired from there and can only be discovered here.

Questing
Questing is a feature here. Completing quests gains you tokens, which can be collected and used to buy rereleased retired creatures. Quests use items that are not retired and not CC, from 6 of the 8 shops in the bottom section of the Shop dropdown (Trinket Travels and Bean Shop are not included). Each quest type is linked to a npc shop. However as a new player, this could be expensive to set out to do. It is also rather time consuming, but some creatures can be profitable.

In saying that, you could try to run a shop that caters to questers. It will take time, and some outlay. Personally, I don't see much return on my shop, but I put little to no effort into it, so I get what I deserve there.
