Hi there! I played Egg Cave a bit back in 2020. I haven't logged back on in years. Pretty much all my creatures are dead and I've kind of forgotten the basics of EC. Here's some of my main questions:What are items and food for? Are most of them collectibles? What's the best way to get a bunch of resurrection stones without spending real money? The dailies thing is new to me. I see you have to post three profile comments a day. What do people usually comment that isn't considered spam? What's the best way for me to get my way up in this game? Like earning EC, getting valuable things, etc.How active is the community? I've never really touched the forums back then.I'm glad to be back on this site. Thanks to anyone who comments!

Hi @bloominqcorvine and welcome back to Egg Cave! 1. The items (food, ice cream, books, etc) can be consumed by any creature, and they can give 1 stat to your creature, depending on the item (if its food you gain 1 feed, if it's book you gain 1 view, etc). Some players also collect items. 2. The only ways to get resurrection stones would be: either you feed a bunch of creatures/day, make EC and trade the EC for CC (cave cash) if you find any player that is willing to trade, either you complete the dailies and you get 100CC/month for completing them (this one is slower, you can make 200CC each 2 months and buy only one resurrection stone), or you can enter player-made giveaways, some people do giveaways here on the forum and sometimes the prizes consist of CC. 3. People usually feed other coves and they post "fed all" on the player's profile. This way it isn't spam and your comment is also useful, the player will see you fed their cove/few creatures and can feed back.4. As said above, you earn EC by feeding other creatures, but you can also play some games to earn a few EC, like Site Trivia (10k EC for a correct answer). Feed as many coves as you can, post on people's profile and they will feed back your cove! 5. The community is very active. I started playing in 2013, took a break in 2017 and came back earlier this year, in April, and I was very happy to see people are still playing EggCave and the community is very helpful and friendly. If you need more help or have any questions, you can always check this Newbie's Guide 😊

@bloominqcorvine Couple of points to add on to what has already been posted.1 - Using items also increases a creatures happiness.3 - Dailies.Daily tasks have been around since Feb 2023. They change each day and there are 4 main groups of tasks.a) 1 x Feeding - Either 100, 200 or 300 feeds.b) 1 x Social - Either 3 forum or 3 wall posts. Posts made in the Games forum and on your own wall count towards this task. Personally on wall days I post on my own wall and immediately delete it. c) 1 x Games - Either Answering the Trivia question, guessing at the Wall of Sandrodon, approaching the Asteroid or placing a bet on the Alkub Racing. d) 2 x Other - Two options from the following- Click -100, 200 or 300- XC Clicks - 100, 200, or 300- Use/Consume items - 3, 5, or 10- Approach the Cave - 10, 12 or 15- Restock from NPC shops - 5, 10, 15- Donate - 3, 5 or 10- Quests - 5, 7 or 12With the exception of the Social task, the tasks shouldn't repeat on consecutive days. So if you have to feed 200 creatures, do some quests, visit the asteroid and donate some items on Monday, you won't have to Tuesday. You will still have to do some feeding, but it will be 100 or 300.Complete all five tasks in a day for a chance to spin a wheel for an increased chance at a monthly. Complete 25 days in a calendar month to earn 100CC. (If you want more details just ask. I also have pages of stats if your interested)

@bloominqcorvine Welcome back! It's always nice to see older users return. 😊Imo the best way to advance in the game is to do lots of feeding, of many different coves. Personally I keep a rather long list of active users to feed and I try to feed each cove at least once a week. Feeding a lot will give you so much towards the game: More opportunity for 'feedbacks', ie people feeding your creatures, which will help your creatures evolve and keep them happy; Earning Eggcoins through feeding, you can trade for retired creatures, expand your cove, buy items, etc with eggcoins, plus you can also trade eggcoins for CaveCash (the premium currency) which will allow you to buy the more valuable/older creatures; Feeding other's coves can also serve as inspiration for your own cove, if you see creatures you want to eventually get or even travels (backgrounds on a creature) you think look nice. It's pretty active around here and there is always something going on, have fun!
