This is simple and short, but I think feeding coves should be a little more accessible. There is a lot of clicking and dragging which honestly makes my hand sore after a while. I'm not sure what you could do for mobile, but I think on pc it would be a huge upgrade to be able to press arrow keys to go to the next creature instead of manually dragging the mouse to the button. Beyond that I have no ideas, but as a player of many pet sites I start to miss the arrow key functionality a lot of others have when I'm clicking.

@oceanwhispers Oh hey, that's an amazing idea !! I have a touch screen for my PC that i never even thought about the arrow keys!

@oceanwhispers I don't mind the idea. For some it could be useful. In saying that........I do 99.9% of my feeding on a Windows PC. I also have a mild arthritis in both hands so get the repetitive movement and pain things. The way I feed is:- Using the Ctrl/W method. Open up a bunch of creatures, each in a new tab. Line up your mouse with the feed button and left click. Then hold Ctrl and tap the W. The tab closes, and the mouse is lined up for the next feed already. You can hold down the Ctrl key so it's just a matter of click and tap until all the tabs are fed. - Opening tabs. You can once again hold the Ctrl key and click on links to open a new tab in your current window. - I actually use an extension on Chrome called LinkClump. It means I hold down the Z key while also holding down the left mouse button and dragging. Each link then opens in a new tab. I found out about a similar extension, now discontinued, on EggCave, and use it for many different things now (rabbit holes are so much more interesting when you can quickly open 20 links on a Wiki or IMDB page.....). - For events like the Halloween Fair, you don't need to interact with the pop up box. You can just keep tapping and clicking.

It would be nice if there was a button called Begin Feeding or something, that brought up maybe 10 creatures in one window you can click (or drag over) and feed each one in that one window, then hitting a Next button to bring up 10 more from your cove. My phone and computer get hot having to load every single page to feed my cove one at a time. I’m thinking kind of like how Pokefarm Q does feeding, where a box with multiple creatures is presented to you and you can click them all one at a time without having to load a page for every single creature. Then you can load another batch up to feed.I do think cove feeding should be improved. At the very least, improved cove feeding for our own coves, although improved feeding for all coves would be fantastic and something I think the site could benefit from.

@jarsha Now THAT would make a HUGE difference in feeding! I don't play any sites that use that method but I do click Pokefarm Q creatures for friends and I honestly never even thought about how different the feeding is there. Whatever shortcuts can be taken with the way Eggcave is currently set up (like minnie I open a group of tabs at once and then go through them quickly) it still involves each feed requiring a page load. Even on my new(er) computer it gets taxing when I'm speed-feeding a large cove. Being able to feed a creature from a centralized feeding page without having to open each creature's individual page would be extremely helpful.

@heatherm19I have this same issue with Flight Rising because they also require a whole page reload for every single creature (when interacting with your pet’s familiar) and it heats up my computer and my phone just as Egg Cave does. I have never had this issue with Pokefarm and I suspect it’s due to loading less pages. And at that point if we can minimize the computational strain of constant page reloading and present multiple pets for feeding at once, then surely some sort of drag or hover feature could be implemented on the feeding in that scenario to improve accessibility. I think this would improve things for everyone and wouldn’t require one single Feed All button which has caused issues on other pet collecting websites (essentially flooding the virtual economy with people being able to gain tons of money too quickly, inflating prices and causing access issues for new players who don’t have much money and can’t really catch up to afford anything and enjoy the game)

I also agree that keyboard shortcuts can make it less painful (but would still require a good amount of work) if we were also allowed to use the keyboard! develping carpal tunnel from feeding is not really on my bucket list rn
