Newbie's questions about Creature Rarity/Types :)

Hi, I've been playing a couple days, I think I've figured out the basics but I would like some clarifications, especially about eggs you get from the Cave. I've looked around FAQ and guides but I can't find the exact info I want. Thank you for any answers!

I know cave monthlies are limited creatures only available in the cave for a month, there are a couple new ones every month.

1. Besides them, is it correct that all creatures I can get from the Cave are "Cave Commons"?

2. Is it correct that Cave Commons are pets that are always available in the Cave?

3. Are new Cave Commons ever added? Do they ever remove Cave Commons from the Cave?

4. If they ever get removed, do they then become "Endangered", and are only available at Leila Oasis?

5. If that's not the case, what exactly are Endangered creatures? Are they ever removed from Endangered status?

6. Finally, is there any demand in trading for Cave Commons? I think I probably only want to collect one of each pet, but I've just been stealing every egg I can from the Cave. Now I have several duplicate Commons. I think it's worth it if anyone will buy them for anything at all (Since they're free anyway, and it's not like I get the steal attempt back if I don't take them), but if nobody will take them, then they just take up space in my coves... Please give me your opinion if I should take Commons and try to trade them, or if it's just not worth the time 😊

@auvember Hello !

1. Yes everything other than event pets or monthlies from the cave are commons

2. Yes they're always available

3 Yes but very rarely - think every 10 years

4. Yes they become endangered and can only be taken from oasis

5. not that I know of - endangered are retired commons and i havent seen a common permanently retired

6. there is a little bit of demand, there are some common collectors for example, there is a demand for luminettes right now if you just browse the trading section in the forums. but i recommend seeing if there's a demand first before taking any commons because otherwise they just take space in your cove.

To add on to the above:
3 - I'm fairly certain the last two commons added were the Aglimaid (29th Oct 2024) and Picerak (27th December 2022, also EggCave's 1000th creature).

The last creature to become endangered was the Rosse (Dec 22, 2022). It was one of 3 to become endangered that year.

Creatures are generally made endangered with no warning. There is just a Blog post saying it's now endangered. So if there are any commons you do like, make sure you have one of them. Rosse's anouncement - https://eggcave.com/blog/the-rosse-is-now-endangered?page=1

@auvember also a little extra info on the cave commons; i'm pretty sure the commons have similar drop rates except for the mo and the terron. the mo has an insanely low drop rate while the terron only drops around 3-4am ect, i believe.

also i'm the one collecting luminettes 😉 if you wanna trade some in i'd be happy to buy them off of you, or trade some old creatures that i have on storage
