Exclude Forum Games from Recent Topics?

Hi, I've been trying to use the forums more lately and it's been really slow going. Most of the action seems to take place in the Forum Games section.

There's nothing wrong with that; forum games are fun and a great way to do forum post dailies. But it also means that the Recent Topics are mainly filled with them. I think this might keep other topics from getting more attention.

My thought was, what if the Forum Game topics were excluded from the Recent Topics list? This would give other posts a better chance to be seen. I also don't think it would hurt the forum games themselves much.

I don't know how easy this would be to implement, or how other players would feel about it. I would find it useful personally, but I'd love to hear other people's opinions!

I agree, I'd prefer if Games were sequestered into their own sections and was invisible from "Recent Topics" and even as records in users forum post histories (maybe they can include a checkmark or something, if they really want to have those records, but I personally don't)

Ooh i really like this idea. I only really care about the "Feed the creature above you" forum game, and there have certainly been times where I miss a good post because it gets drowned out by "Dogs VS Cats" or "Count to 1 million".

Like myriadium mentioned, it would be fantastic to have the forum games in their own forum pulse so I can see which games are active while also being able to see which of the rest of the forums are also active. I'm much more interested in the rest of the forums as well, but find it very easy to miss them because they are drowned out by forum games.

This is a good idea, there could be a "recent topics" section like now, and on the other side a "recent games". That would make it a little less "spammy", so to speak.

I thought I already replied, but please yes! I second having a seperate "recent posts" section off to the right (or under) for Forum Games. It has really become necessary since the implimentation of the Monthly Dailies.

(this is Not the first time this feature has been requested. - as it is a really useful idea.)

Trades, Help requests, General Information get burried so quickly.

Edit: I also have been meaning to make up a seperate thread, but it is quite related to this, so I might as well put it here. (and see if others feel the same.)
I feel like there are so many Feeding Clubs now that it needs their own Section.
(I know thst would mess up the neat 2 x 2 quadrants, but I REALLY feel it has become *necessary*.)
There used to only be 1 - 3 active feeding clubs if any at all, and now actual GAME threads get buried. Feeding clubs belong more in General (but then those would get buried.)
The change came about with the high stat evolve creatures. It used to only be with favorites that came along, and their purpose was briefly lived as it didn't take so long to evolve them.

Maybe putting Feed clubs in their own section and excluding them from Recent Posts would help alleviate the issue?

(I feel like Feed the Creature Above You should be exempt and remain in Games. Grandfathered in because it's been running as a game long before all this started.)
