Hi! I'm eggcited to be here! Yeah, yeah I know it's a rotten egg pun, but yes I am glad to be here because it all looks really interesting and involving...and complicated.

I have an egg....of something, not sure of what eggactly.

That's a start; and I'm going to go away and read stuff. Hopefully that will help because I have zero clues as to what I'm supposed to be doing.

Greetings @ygaria. Egg puns are super fun to use around here and never get old. This is eggactly the right place to crack them open : )

The site is faily simply to use, but unfortuantly the finer details of function are still vague. Sometimes even those of us who have been around a while find ourselves asking for clarity.

Twinkle's Guide is a good place to start for many things not covered in the official FAQ & ToS.
Feel free to ask the community questions. (It's been a little slower around here lately, but usually someone gets around to replying.)

As for not knowing what kind of creature you have, you can click on the species name and it will take you to the Archives page with information on the creature (and pictures of its evolutions.)

Hopefully that helps a little.
