How do you find out how much travels are worth? I love them and have acquired a ton of the things, but I have no idea what to sell them at.

For example, I'm currently selling a Star of Bethlehem in my shop for 400K; is that too much? Too little? I'm fine with that amount, I just wish I knew how to price them in the same way that Nut does that great guide for creatures.

Can anyone help?

Hi! You can price them however you like of course, since values are subjective, but one easy way to check value is to go to the "Items Database", under the Explore tab.

Then search the name of the travel, with quotation marks around it. When you click on its picture, it will take you to a page that tells you where it comes from, when it was released, what the price is in the NPC shops, and if its retired.

When I sell stuff in my shop, I price it at twice the NPC stock price, rounded up, so I can make a profit, and I sell stuff pretty regularly.

If it's retired, it's worth a lot more probably!

Auvember summed it up nicely.
I just want to add that in addition to it being subjective to popularity and how recently something was released, event travels typically went for less than Cash Shop travels historically. Star of Bethlehem was the one exception. For as long as I was here it's been one of the most sought after event travels. (though it used to typically go for 500k - 1M EC and other event travels 100k - 500k. The mine walls being the least popular, usually going for about 1,000 - 10,000 EC - regular restock prices. ....But inflation has been nuts, even on creatures.)

Really, in the end it comes down to what something is worth to you. What do you want to sell something for.
If you want to get a feel for it check out what other sellers have an item for in their shops first using the Shop Search, (or like Auvember said, using the Item Database) ...Or you could post a price check in the forums. We don't really have a lot of that here, but we're a friendly bunch and there's nothing stopping anyone from doing so. It's just that the economy here is simpler than a lot of other sites/games. (One of them I was playing had over 40 different currencies! And another had 5 stages of converting things.)
Hopefully you can get the hang of it soon : )

@auvember @snowywinter

Thank you both so much for your help and good advice!

I got another one, had a look in user shops and decided to put it up for 700K, which is fair, I think, seeing as I got it for nothing 😊

Yeah, that's fair with the perspective that you got it for free, and aren't going to use it. 700k you're not selling youself short either. 400k definately seemed like a steal for that travel (but you definately made someone's day! ^^ So it's a win-win.)

Glad we were able to give you some helpful advice @ygaria 😊
