DEEP SEA YEEP 2ND ANNIVERSARY RAFFLE

dragonii • 1 week ago

As of today, it has been 2 years since the Algimaids release as a cave common!
Look at the original blog post (˚ ˃̣̣̥ ᐜ ˂̣̣̥ )づ♡ ˚₊‧ The release of the Aglimaid
seeing it still makes me happy to see. (*ฅ́ ˘ฅ̀*)♡

And to celebrate this exciting day, I want to host a raffle!

Now how do you enter this raffle you may be wondering?
There are 3 ways to enter this raffle!

So in order to get a ticket, share one or all of these things!
each one you do, gives you a ticket. So you have 3 tickets you can get!

1st. feed the first Aglimaid in existence! and let me know here that you did! (be honest, I can see who recently fed him!)

2nd. share your own aglimaid! Especially your favorite one!

3rd. Make and share art of the Aglimaid! It can be a drawing, animation, a story, a poem, a craft, or anything akin!

merit • 1 week ago

I guess I never took the time to read the creature description, because I didn't realize Aglimaids were seen as "Deep Sea Yeeps"! Shows what I know 😂 Congratulations on such a successful creature suggestion!

1. Fed him! He looks so cute all curled up ❤️

2. My personal favorite Aglimaid is Lilithel! I adopted her from someone in my early days. I believe her name was something like "_lilith" at the time? I wanted to keep the spirit of the name, but I prefer capital initials and no punctuation. That's how the name Lilithel was born 📛

3.

Oh how your fateful markings glow
Like azure embers in the dark
Luring prey toward doom below
Down in the farthest depths of Ark.

And if perchance you take to land
As your kind has been known to do
And brush against a fisher's hand
Perhaps they'll take a like to you.

As hunters both, you forge a bond
A pact that blooms upon the shore
While you still stray to the beyond
You find yourself on land much more.

A fondness that will never end
The fisher speaks, and names you, "Friend".

@dragonii HOLY YEEP- CONGRATS!!! 💜

1. Fed 🐟

2. I have 5 of these little nuggets on my collection side @syntax (I don't want to link them bc I like the stage they're at and can't afford 5 freezes lol but you can see them pretty easily)

3. TBD

Edit: I just realized that the Aglimaid and I share an anniversary xD I literally got married two years ago!!!! 🫶🏽💕🙀

gngdia • 1 week ago

@dragonii thank you for this! Happy 2nd Anniversary!

1. Fed ❤️
2. Here is mine. I have just one because I like collecting only one of each species.
3.Here's my poem (cause I'm bad at drawing):

In the depths of the abyss
Lies an unexpected beast
It’s a shark? Or just a fish?
To find out it’s a dead wish.
One-eyed creature, a long tail
Teeth are sharp, its fins are pale
Blue spots glowing in the deep,
Luring prey before they sleep
It waits below, where light is dim,
And hunts the fish along the rim.
And at times, when it wants more
It leaves the sea and comes ashore.
Beware when you hear a “yeep”!
This beast lurks beneath the deep.
And if somehow you see its shape
It is too late… you can’t escape!
Congratulations! Now you’re its dinner!
The Deep Sea Yeep, once more, a winner.

@dragonii happy aglimaidiversary 😃
Fed fed!
My baby https://eggcave.com/egg/2842822
Poem ⬇️

Hungry was the aglimaid
So on abyssal fish it preyed
One small swimmer came along
Perceiving food - alas, how wrong!
Quicker than a blu could blink
Gobbled up, bones left to sink...

Far away, a fishing rod
Slowly reeled in a cod
But ere the fish could reach the deck
Sharp teeth emerged and clamped its neck
Just as the sailors got a look
It snatched the fish right off the hook!

Rarely seen so close to land
The aglimaid yanked fish from hand
It never passed up food so free
Before returning to the sea
Swimming down, sharp teeth in front
The predator resumed the hunt.

Scoff not at what the sailors say
The creature hunts fish to this day...
Deep in the ocean, blue spots glow
Moving along, steady and slow
For nosy prey, the price is steep
Beware, beware, the Deep Sea Yeep.

ottypufflet • 1 week ago

Thank you for hosting this fun and generous raffle! I've always loved the assonance of Deep Sea Yeep.

3. I'll be creating an art piece of the Aglimaid. Will post again / update this before November 7th. :-D

Loved reading through this topic so far. 🤗 Thank you again, Dragonii!

@pjbuzzy Is there a chance you can refeed aglimaid? I dont see you on the recent feeding list. (I know its probably because I checked too late, but if its not too much to feed him again so you are on the recent feed list )
also I love the usage of #DeepSeaYeep ❤️

@dragonii ty for hosting this fun raffle to celebrate the deep sea yeep! yay aglimaids ^^

1st. fed!!

2nd. here's my lil deep sea cutie

3rd. poem:

beneath the waves, where shadows creep,
lies a glowing creature that guards the deep.
its blue lit spots begin to gleam,
a curious sight beneath the stream.

it hunts where sunlight cannot reach,
with glowing marks to lure its feast.
but should it get tired of the ocean blue,
it ventures onto land for a different view.

fishermen whisper of its name,
a strange lil sea beast with eerie fame.
so if you spot a Yeep at sea,
an Aglimaid it might just be!
