http://us.battle.net/d3/en/So after a spate of intensely playing Torchlight I figure I should play the game that inspired it, Diablo 2 (because my poor mouse hasn't been abused enough 😉). Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out what I want to play when it hit me; Diablo 2 is multiplayer and I'd be playing on ladder (mostly for the extra loot and rune words, screw the competition) so why not see if there are any other people who would be interested in playing too.So is there any one here who would be interested in jumping in a game with me? If there is interest in playing I'll edit this post to add the game name and password. Also, this topic doesn't just need to be about your willingness to play, we can also talk about any of the Diablo series, 1, 2, or the upcoming and long awaited 3.(I would appreciate if people didn't just randomly bump this. If you're going to post please have something to say.) #Diablo

@orderedchaosAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHSorry, I may have just passed out. I've almost never met a fellow Diablo lover/player off of the community sites before. I've been playing DI science I was to young to know what I was doing, got DII within a few weeks of it's release, and I am patiently waiting for DIII to come out.I would offer to play a game or two with you, but much to my shame, I've never actually played a ladder game before. I have always preferred single player. Have you played DI? Or are you a DII only kinda player?(I can't wipe the smile off my face, I'm so glad there are other people out there like me!)
Orderedchaos • 28 December 2011 at 8:59 AM
*jumps for joy*@boxofcrayons A fellow Diablo player! I too prefer single player and only played the ladder for the ladder-only loot and rune words. Until, shortly after making this topic, I realized the loot was in single player and I could add a text file to give me the rune words. 😊Admittedly I've only played D1 once. But I've sunk many hours into D2, mostly as a werewolf Druid. Those guys are fun.Oh man, now I have some one here I can get excited with every time Blizzard posts a new D3 announcement.
boxofcrayons • 28 December 2011 at 12:42 PM
@orderedchaos So much joy! I love both DI and DII equally, but for different reasons. Di was amazing for its sheer spookiness and for me, it is full of happy memories of playing with my uncle. I love DII for it's amazing story lines and characters. (Plus AMAZING GAMEPLAY!)I usually play DII with a crossbow or long bow amazon. But I am also really quite partial to the assassins. 😊 What class are you the most excited for in DIII?(By the way I'm leaving for about a week now, so I will reply once I get back.)
Orderedchaos • 28 December 2011 at 12:55 PM
@boxofcrayons Definitely looking forward to the monk and wizard the most.Oh my goodness, hell level in D1 creeped me out so much. Partially from the music. The whole Diablo soundtrack sends chills down my spine.
boxofcrayons • 30 December 2011 at 7:37 PM
@orderedchaosIt totally did! The music and the art worked so well together. I love playing late at night and scaring myself silly.I swear the first day or two diablo three is out I'm skipping school 😊 I'm not particularly impatient for it though, every day that passes just means it will be that more polished when it gets in our hands.
mellyottl • 31 December 2011 at 12:43 PM
[I only know about this game from the My Little Pony references heh heh 😊 ]
boxofcrayons • 31 December 2011 at 9:43 PM
@mellyottl... What? *is very very VERY confused*
mellyottl • 31 December 2011 at 10:18 PM
@boxofcrayons[Diablo 3 has secret pony level, like the cow level or something 😊]
boxofcrayons • 1 January 2012 at 6:06 PM
@MellyottlIts not exactly called a secret pony level >.< it's called a secret cow level, and is full of cows wielding pike arms. 😃
Orderedchaos • 1 January 2012 at 6:19 PM
Hehe, oh the secret cow level. Such good times. I once had my minion kill the cow king by accident. No more normal cow level for that character. >.<
boxofcrayons • 2 January 2012 at 12:14 AM
Ah, that sucks! I don't think I've ever killed the Cow king. 😊
zafeyry • 2 January 2012 at 4:00 PM
@boxofcrayons@orderedchaosShould I try it? And if I should, which game should I start with?
Orderedchaos • 2 January 2012 at 4:04 PM
@zafeyry Oh definitely try it! 😊 And start with Diablo 1 just for the awesome atmosphere and bit of back story for Diablo 2.
boxofcrayons • 2 January 2012 at 6:13 PM
@zafeyry Yes. You should absolutely play it. It's one of the best games EVER made. But definitely start with Diablo 1. That is the best one.
zafeyry • 2 January 2012 at 8:30 PM
@orderedchaos@boxofcrayonsI'll download it tomorrow. 😊 My username will be zafeyry there too.
boxofcrayons • 2 January 2012 at 8:31 PM
@zafeyryAwesome, but I don't play the multiplayer on either, so don't look for me! 😃
Orderedchaos • 4 January 2012 at 6:02 PM
Wow, its been 15 years since Diablo came out. The timeline at the bottom of this page is pretty neat. Haven't watched the videos yet. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/game/anniversary/
boxofcrayons • 5 January 2012 at 12:04 AM
Its cool isn't it? I've seen it before. 😃 My uncle used to play D1 when I was a little kid, maybe 5, and I would watch. 😃 We are both really anti-social and I think thats the main reason we have a relationship now, twelve years later.@orderedchaosSO I've recently been playing DII again myself (I had almost forgotten how very much I LOVE it!) Anyway, I was just wondering f you ever used the mercenaries or not? I know that every time I get one in game I go to extreme lengths to kill it off. They make me mad, awakening monsters I was hoping to sneak up on, killing things I wanted to kill, ect. I was just wondering if I was a lunatic or what.
Orderedchaos • 16 February 2012 at 3:48 PM
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4062848557Oh man more chances to get beta keys. I'm going to be doing some of these. 😊Late reply is late:@boxofcrayons I totally use the rogue mercenary. I give here a bow with a nice rune word in it and it works out nicely. Though I can see where you'd want to kill them off. I have been in situations where my merc died and I just said "screw it, you can stay dead".

May 15th, only one month left till the most awaited game of all time is finally out. *squee* I've already pre-ordered and am downloading the game client now. Totally going to go with a wizard as my first character.
Orderedchaos • 20 April 2012 at 3:37 PM
From now until about noon on Monday Blizzard is opening up the beta of Diablo 3 to stress test the servers. *pure excitement* And right now the servers are down. Looks like the stress testing is successful, hehe. Now to wait until the servers aren't busy/down and I'll be able to play. My battletag is OrderedChaos #1214, so feel free to find me and kill demons with me.
boxofcrayons • 11 July 2012 at 2:39 PM
@orderchaos I'm so deeply sad none of my computers will run the game. I've been nostalgically playing diablo 2 lately. Which is your favourite act and quest?
Orderedchaos • 11 July 2012 at 3:04 PM
@boxofcrayons I like Act one the best. It's the act that reminds me most of Diablo 1 and 2. Wandering through the cathedral again is fun.Favorite quest would be one in Act 2 where you are searching for *mild spoilers* the head of a horadric sorcerer. The area its in is huge and has awesome atmosphere. There are so many little side quests/events that are randomly generated, so you can get different ones each time you play an act. Those are fun and add bits of flavor to each act and area. 😊
dreamer • 11 July 2012 at 3:06 PM
@Orderedchaos What is Diablo about? I might want to start playing, as long as it doesn't involve downloading systems or anything. I fear that my laptop will fall apart after one more download. >.< I really need a new one.EDIT: Wait. I just checked the site. It's rated M. And you have to buy it. ._. Nevermind.
Orderedchaos • 11 July 2012 at 3:11 PM
@dreamer Check the link at the top of the first post. Under "Game Guide" there is a nice introductory backstory to the game. 😉 Its an action rpg. So lots of running around killing monsters, getting phat loot, and leveling up. Also a bit dark and bloody, lots of exploding monsters into tiny monster bits. It is very computer intensive and a huge download. Also requires you to be online constantly while playing (I hate that part >.< ).
dreamer • 11 July 2012 at 3:17 PM
@Orderedchaos That actually sounds like a game I'd be interested in. Except for the downloading part. XD I can't download on my laptop, and I'd be in REALLY hot water if I did something like that on my mom's computer instead. >.> Maybe someday, though. ^^
lizymarie • 27 July 2012 at 10:43 PM
@orderedchaosSo have you gotten Diablo III yet? Also, torchlight is OK but not as awesome as the trilogy! ❤️ I have stopped playing for a bit, though, to not burn myself out. (or maybe I DID burn myself out! ho ho!!) But I'm a lvl 54 Monk. And I'll have to level up the other classes as well so I have one of each. I got it the day it came out and it took about 2 weeks to hit 54. Haven't touched it since. o.O But yeah.. YAY FELLOW DIABLO SUPPORTER!!!!
boxofcrayons • 27 July 2012 at 10:50 PM
@lizymarie *GASP* Another diablo-ite?! Fantasic, good to have you ^.^ I bought the collector's edition of Diablo III (had it on hold the day it was announced, actually 😋) but none of the computers in my house will play it. >.< Major crazy fan of the first two games though 😃(Side note, I have a few UFT trenkas on my side, @Europe) ^.^
Zac • 27 July 2012 at 11:20 PM
I've been wanting to get Diablo III for some time! I've just been waiting til I have a bit more in my bank account, haha. But in all seriousness, I'd love to meet up with you guys sometime. That is, if you're willing to put up with a level 1 user with no idea what he's doing. 😋
