So i had to run a mile at school today...
I failed. -_-

Like, seriously. I was SO out of breath when we were like, half way through the first lap.

SOOOOo out of breath, in that the PE teacher let me walk it.

I did it in 15 minutes -_-

And then ths stupid *popular* girl in my PE class is already DONE running the mile when everyone else is like, half way through the second lap. D:< She erks me.

So I need help. Like, advice for practicing for our next run, any ways I can do better. Anything.

ALSO, there's a dance coming up at our school next Friday, and I made a bet with someone *cough@pizza5pizza cough* that I need to ask this certain boy if he'll go to the dance with me. But I'm so freakin' nervous. ._. I need help with THAT, too. XP

@dreamer

Just go at a slow steady pace, you can do it.
In the future, focus on speeding up your pace by a few seconds. So let's say you get a 10:00 mile. The next mile, you aim for a 9:45. 😉

Hm. If you really like him, ask him out. Don't ask him out if you don't want to. And the worst that could happen is Ben saying no. >_<

@Whitefall

I did go at a slow pace.
I went at a walking pace and tried to move my arms and legs at a minimum, but still managed to jog the first lap. And I STILL didn't do it. >.<

DON'T SAY HIS NAME O_O Yeah idkk, I'll try, I'll just ask if anyone else invited him to the dance yet, ask a few questions about it so when I DO ask him, it won't surprise him as much. ;3

@dreamer
Then your next goal should be being able to withstand the whole thing; no matter what time you get.

Good idea. ;D

@dreamer Best thing to do for the mile thing is get your body used to jogging/walking a lot. Which basically takes practice. Start out by walking around your block one day, then the next day try to jog around your block. Its ok if you can't do it at first. Just alternate jogging and walking around your block.
Then once your comfortable jogging once around your block, go twice around your block. Just keep increasing it till your able to go 4 or 5 times around. The only way to get better a better mile time is just to practice and increase your stamina. And if you get your body used to walking, then jogging around your block you'll increase your stamina and do better when you have to run the mile for gym class.

As for asking a boy to dance. Just do it, don't try to think about it too much before hand you'll just make yourself too nervous to do it. Just walk up to him and ask. The worst that can happen is he says no. But hey, he could also say yes. 😊

@Orderedchaos How long is a block? I can never tell. X3 My street is really long though, I could try that. ^^

I'm probably going to ask him to the dance next week. It's on the 21st, and not many people have been asked yet, and I don't wanna be the gossip of my grade. 😱 I'll wait till teachers announce it. And, thanks for the advice. 😊
