Can't trade Creature

I adopted a Cosmiathan from the cave that I was planning to trade to my sister. I can see it in my cove, but I can't see if when I try to set up a trade or auction. I double-checked to make sure it was not already up for trade or auction, and it is not. According to my cove, I still have it, so it hasn't been traded away. Any thoughts?
