CAVECASH SCAMS - Recently, some users have been using the "Gift CaveCash" feature in the Cash Shop Park to trade CaveCash in conjunction with the Trade Center. Please realize that this is not a secure way to trade CaveCash! Upon gifting CaveCash to the other user (for a trade), they do not have to accept the trade and can completely scam you, stealing the CaveCash. Please do not use the "Gift CaveCash" feature to trade CaveCash. We cannot restore any CaveCash lost this way.

I didn't realize people were giving people CC *before* the person accepted on the trade lot. This is wrong. âšī¸
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 6:28 PM
@Shelby Yeah, I know. đą Whenever I trade CC I make sure the trader sends me the CC before I trade it, so I know I won't be scammed.
asi • 25 May 2012, 6:29 PM
@Shelby but if the trade was accepted first, the CC just never be given đ There is no safe way to trade CC.
asi • 25 May 2012, 6:30 PM
*may never be given ^^"
silver_winged • 25 May 2012, 6:30 PM
To make things a little safer, people could create forum topics to get "witnesses" to the trade. But that's a temporary solution.
shelby • 25 May 2012, 6:30 PM
@Asi; Yeah I know. We should be able to offer it on a lot the way we can offer EC. But at the same time people shouldn't be stealing it.
Zac • 25 May 2012, 6:31 PM
@metaphor I didn't say there shouldn't be alternatives made. But devaluing CC could cause many more problems for the site in the long run.
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 6:31 PM
@Asi That's a valid point as well. đą Like I said, the only sensible solution is CaveCash in the trade center. It would really help.
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 6:32 PM
So basically, the only ordeal is on a new CC feature. Why is such a simple solution so hard to be acted on by EggCave?
Zac • 25 May 2012, 6:32 PM
The value of CC is important because if it inflates, less people will buy it and the site might not be able to support itself.
thursdays_dove • 25 May 2012, 6:33 PM
So sad that people are doing this. âšī¸
silver_winged • 25 May 2012, 6:34 PM
CC trading could be banned, but I think that would make a lot of people unhappy. There has to be a better way to counteract inflation.
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 6:35 PM
@Zac tHat's true. But what about monthlies? There's only so much CC to go around. When someone trades for CC, at some point-
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 6:36 PM
-in the chain a user had to buy it, regardless of where it ends up, you know? And whenever the monthlies come out, even more CC will be-
-purchased in order to get them. Same with Essence of Litsdnats. As long as more users come to EggCave who can spend money on CC, I-
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 6:37 PM
-don't believe that EggCave will fail. ;]
metaphor • 25 May 2012, 6:40 PM
@zac I understand what you're getting at.đ It's just that I felt I should mention that the demand for CC is still there, and strong. As
long as that's the case, I don't feel the CC value really is in danger. just my two cents, though.
asi • 25 May 2012, 6:42 PM
Often CC is bought solely to trade with đ
metaphor • 25 May 2012, 6:43 PM
...which, when traded, is often used for freezes and for monthlies people don't have. I often buy it monthly, buy what I want, and then
trade the rest. Again, just my two cents. For all I know, I don't know what the heck I'm talking about.âšī¸
Zac • 25 May 2012, 6:45 PM
Personally, I don't see problem with trading for eggs directly and the occasional litsdnats until a more permanent solution can be found.
metaphor • 25 May 2012, 6:48 PM
You're right, that does work. That's what most people used to do before the gift option anyway.đ
shadielle • 25 May 2012, 6:52 PM
If gifting Cave Cash isn't a safe way to trade it, then how are we supposed to trade it? This post is kinda helpless =\
daraniel • 25 May 2012, 6:56 PM
Accept the creature trade first ? Then give the CC. Then aqain, we'll have eggs scam instead. âšī¸
libra • 25 May 2012, 7:11 PM
How about adding a Add CC button at the trade center and making a extra bold message pop up when you press accept?
yogurt • 25 May 2012, 7:25 PM
I have a great way to solve all problems. People, just don't scam. <.<
shadielle • 25 May 2012, 7:26 PM
@maximum_ride_forever Many people have been suggesting that. The question is why hasn't the staff implemented it so far? =\
ginna3525 • 25 May 2012, 8:06 PM
good night egg cave
april__ • 25 May 2012, 8:22 PM
@Zac makes good points. I'm not a fan of people trading CC. But people are going to do it and scams are going to occur. I wish there was a

way that everyone could be happy.
euro22 • 25 May 2012, 8:26 PM
WOWW THE EUROG IS TALKING!! *takes picture*
taffy789 • 25 May 2012, 8:33 PM
Which is why I trade only with people I know are reknown and respected, and have everything to lose if their account gets-
delete because they scammed. đ
gggaaahhh1 • 25 May 2012, 8:56 PM
There could be a trading cavecash feature, instead of gifting cavecash.
cubexline • 25 May 2012, 8:58 PM
I never saw a point in "gifting" CC, I wouldn't give out money for free to anyone.
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 9:20 PM
Banning the exchange of CC altogether would most likely make many eggcavers irate, and that wouldn't help anyone. đą
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 9:21 PM
But another question is if so many people are getting scammed, why is nothing being done? Warnings on the users, the return of stolen-
-CC or creatures, etc. This isn't about a "you learned your lesson thing." If I paid money for something and it got scammed out of me,-
dreamer • 25 May 2012, 9:22 PM
-I know that I (as well as my mom who'd pay for it) would be furious.
Orderedchaos • 25 May 2012, 9:25 PM
The scamming was a recent thing, there is thread about it in the forums and hit only a couple people before it was called out.
Orderedchaos • 25 May 2012, 9:27 PM
I think this is more of a general warning of "Be careful, you can't trust everyone". And it seems from previous posts that a solution...
...to the CC trading thing is not as simple as most people seem to think it is.
ninja • 25 May 2012, 9:40 PM
trust doesnt exist on the internet.
hai • 25 May 2012, 9:42 PM
CC is not meant for trading. Adding a "Trade CC" option would go back on his word, which made a bunch of users angry last time.
yogurt • 25 May 2012, 10:18 PM
Anyone want to adopt some commons? http://eggcave.com/forums/topic/23063 I'm leaving and need to clear them out. Thanks (8
peppermintcowboy • 25 May 2012, 10:46 PM
I'm just glad this isn't an official rule, because I often trade CC. As do many others. Let's not let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. đ
wolfmilk • 25 May 2012, 11:37 PM
@peppermintcowboy I agree. But trading CC will now be at our own risk.
mystix • 26 May 2012, 1:45 AM
This is really sad that people do this :c Ah, at least I can enjoy my birthday on sunday.
alraune3 • 26 May 2012, 3:29 AM
Yay, a Suckerlop! Finally... đ
