Easter Will Be Observed April 1

No, this isn't an April Fools Day joke. Easter at Egg Cave will indeed be celebrated beginning April 1, even though it's on March 31.

Due to the way it falls this year, the Easter Egg Hunt event will begin on April 1.

Caramel Candies

These new candies are now available from the Bakery.

Actually Irish Teas

Yep... these are actually all Irish teas! New from the Bean Sack.

Ice Cream Floats

These are some pretty good ice cream floats, if that's what you're looking for. They're now restocking at Finley's Flavors!

Oh interesting !!!

heatherm19 • 30 Mar 2024, 12:11 AM

I legit forgot about the egg hunt even though Easter has been on my mind constantly. Well yay, something to look forward to!

heatherm19 • 30 Mar 2024, 12:13 AM

(Am I the only one who thinks maybe the quality of shop items is being sacrificed for quantity? Way too many new items and honestly not much detail in many...)

Thank you for the Easter Egg Hunt heads up. I'm certain some would have thought it the April Fools prank with how it's operated on previous years.

Honestly confused as to why the Easter event won’t be on Easter??? There have been other years Easter fell in March, and I don’t recall it being moved. It’s not the biggest deal, but ngl I do like getting the Easter creatures on, well…. Easter.

redflipflap • 30 Mar 2024, 12:38 AM

I feel like there's gonna be a lot going on in april, with easter being observed on april 1st and then april fools day? its gonna be a lil weird

When will be possible to sort items in strongroom by store? Plz, retire 1000 old items.

kleineprinz • 30 Mar 2024, 2:02 AM

Lucky tea 😃

I'll be looking forward to find all these elusive eggs. I'm also so curious about April's Fool so the impatient part of me is very happy about this all lolol.✨

Thanks for the heads up, though a little part of me is wondering why. April 1st is going to be a pretty busy day, it seems.

chaotictreat • 30 Mar 2024, 6:02 AM

Huh weird, good to know tho, I'll expect april fools and easter hunt on the same day

chaotictreat • 30 Mar 2024, 6:03 AM

im also wondering if perhaps the items are getting a bit too much @heatherm19... i think the ice cream floats are really great though! its just theres sooo many items being released and often theres four in a set with only very minor changes between them and it feels sorta,, idk

isis • 30 Mar 2024, 9:10 AM

I think the color variations are nicely done, especially on the ice cream, with even the straws and everything. Also, I had never heard of yellowman candies before, looked them up and now I wanna try some!

@heatherm19 this is one of our long term item artists who has been doing items for years. When did you notice this?

jlya • 30 Mar 2024, 12:46 PM

I was wondering how the site was going to do Easter this year since it falls in March.

shrimp • 30 Mar 2024, 3:12 PM

I think my only gripe with the easter date is not getting a matching release date-easter creature, but other than that I'm alright!

seraph • 30 Mar 2024, 6:28 PM

@heatherm19 the quantity of new items haven't been changed, they are just being released in a bigger group at the end of the month

heatherm19 • 30 Mar 2024, 7:16 PM

@seraph That's probably part of the issue, yes. Especially since new items are often fairly scarce in the npc shops, heaping so many new ones into the mix at once makes it even harder to collect everything. It does feel, imo, that 4 new items in every single shop --

heatherm19 • 30 Mar 2024, 7:16 PM

-- every month has become a bit much, especially without retiring anything and older items often restocking a lot more than the newer ones. (And I mean nothing against this artist, I think the last couple batches of new items just haven't been my personal cup of tea.)

prairie • 30 Mar 2024, 8:05 PM

@heatherm19 Just for insight on item art (as a past item artist), items are requested in batches of 4: as in same image, but have different colors. Re-colors are free. Personally, I do think 4 new items for every shop is a bit much. But it keeps collecting active.

prairie • 30 Mar 2024, 8:07 PM

If I’m getting the vibe right, I think you have less than an issue with the art and more of an issue with the quantity of things being pushed out(?). Which I’m not gonna lie, I kind of get that. I’m not a fan of retiring items, I’m not into exuberant amounts of new items either.

solaris • 30 Mar 2024, 9:55 PM

I like the batches of 4 because they order nicely in my collection. Just wish I had thought of doing that earlier because my first few pages are a mess! Haha!
