goodbye pretty teapots š¢
nut • 26 Apr 2025, 12:10 AM
dang, it would be really fun + nice to have a heads up, could be fun to collect/trade these kinds of items for a while before they retire. retiring out of the blue isn't so interesting
raitonchidori • 26 Apr 2025, 12:18 AM
Oh, less items. For those who collect them on creatures, it would be awesome if we could know if we already used this item on a creature, so check this idea!
s6and • 26 Apr 2025, 12:36 AM
NOT THE ALKUB PLUSHIES AHHH
memorium • 26 Apr 2025, 1:07 AM
Bye bye Avem teapot, you will be missed : (
dragrawr • 26 Apr 2025, 2:12 AM
DIABLOS TEAPOT NONONON
dragongirl02 • 26 Apr 2025, 2:25 AM
Yep, I have to agree with @nut. I'm not here 24/7, so a warning would have been nice, could have been saved at least one of each item for when galleries open up. I might still have a few but I'll need to check that now too.
heatherm19 • 26 Apr 2025, 3:03 AM
curious if it was intentional or an oversight that one Alkub plushie isn't in that list? Is the Sparkling Blue one still available? (agree with nut, it'd be nice to have a heads up.)
minnie298a • 26 Apr 2025, 4:20 AM
@heatherm19 My guess would be it's a part of a different "set". But I'm not up to searching through old blog posts to confirm it.
minnie298a • 26 Apr 2025, 4:31 AM
Oh, and to go against the grain, I'm fine with the "random" retirements. Especially for old items. We have had years to gather what interests us. For those who need a warning - here it is - find and collect ancient items that you may require for future endeavours. .
chaotictreat • 26 Apr 2025, 8:08 AM
will miss the alkub plushies and avem+diablos teapots 3
chaotictreat • 26 Apr 2025, 8:09 AM

ashlinnhi • 26 Apr 2025, 8:31 AM
@mastergemma NOOO GOODBYE AVEM POT
spacebunny • 26 Apr 2025, 9:08 AM
Agree with others here please give us a heads up so we would have time to at least get one ā¹ļø
nut • 26 Apr 2025, 9:18 AM
@minnie298a no I agree with that too, and I do already buy old items, but thereās no thrill. I think it would be kind of fun like the VEND timer to grab a bunch before they disappear
valorieviolet • 26 Apr 2025, 4:31 PM
I have none of the teapots lol
jlya • 26 Apr 2025, 5:01 PM
*Salutes* goodbye Alkub plushies, you have served me well. And dang, I just saw that Blackcurrant syrup in the shops and I didn't grab it ;-;
dragongirl02 • 26 Apr 2025, 5:46 PM
Some items that I had in my shop, I think, were a few of the retiring items, and due to no heads-up, I was unable to adjust the price/make sure I had a copy before they got snapped up.
minnie298a • 26 Apr 2025, 9:10 PM
I don't think a warning would help much. Yes, you would get some time to fight with others trying to hoard the items over the NPC shop drops. But I can't see it doing anything for those wanting to pull/adjust the item in their user shop if your not on when the blog drops..
dragongirl02 • 27 Apr 2025, 1:07 AM
I basically in a sense got some items stolen fron my user shop due to zero warning.
minnie298a • 27 Apr 2025, 3:08 AM
@dragongirl02 But how would a warning have helped? People would have still gone and bought the items from your shop with the warning. As I see it, all a warning would do is have people camped out in the npc shop, frustrated at the stocking levels after clearing user shops.
minnie298a • 27 Apr 2025, 3:22 AM
Unless the warning is in the "We will retire some things tomorrow, check back to find out what" vein. Where the items aren't named. (But personally clearing my shop, just to restock is more effort than I wish to put in to selling stuff)
dragongirl02 • 27 Apr 2025, 8:40 AM
Respectfully disagree. A warning helps user shop owners not on 24/7 pull items before hype buys them. Wasn't about NPC camping, but managing my stock & saving a keepsake. Zero notice took that choice.
minnie298a • 27 Apr 2025, 10:07 AM
What's stopping anyone clearing user shops as soon as the warning drops? "X is going to retire in a week so I'll nabbed as many as possible" sort of mentality. I don't see how it would make a difference to the current system. If you miss the warning, it would still be too late.
silvia • 27 Apr 2025, 10:09 AM
Still asking please for a VEND for retired items. š Having items retire is a must. Having them retire forever is disappointing and will drive away possible new users that would wish to start an item collection. Maybe release them again in prize shops?
dragongirl02 • 27 Apr 2025, 1:58 PM
True, different views on warnings. But time zones mean sudden retirements hit players like me (who check in after work/dinner routine) especially hard, missing the initial news.
isis • 27 Apr 2025, 3:35 PM
Maybe a solution would be to automatically set the cost of retiring items to 0 in user shops, so they don't show up anymore. Then it's up the seller to decide to pull the item from the store, sell it for a different price, etc.
nut • 28 Apr 2025, 11:29 AM
@minnie298a I donāt think itās so bad that user shops would get cleared out with a warning? like you would still have X amount of time to wait for it to restock in npc, or wait for other users to stock it, finally giving some incentive to buying the items like bean sack.
nut • 28 Apr 2025, 11:31 AM
"X is going to retire in a week so I'll nabbed as many as possible" sounds fun to me š since itās common items being retired thereās literally enough to go around⦠camping in the npc shop sounds fun too. some cutthroat competitiveness may be what our sleepy item economy needs
minnie298a • 28 Apr 2025, 8:45 PM
@nut I have no problem with the items suddenly retiring and others buying them "cheap" from my shop. I was just trying to understand how a warning would give others a chance to "save" the items from their own shops. Unless the warning was vague and did not include items names.
minnie298a • 28 Apr 2025, 8:47 PM
All I could see it doing was giving everyone a chance to camp out in the npc shops. Players would still take the easy route of hitting up user shops first.
