It's summer and it's been cookin'! Welcome to August! This month is all about the... Obsidian Wastes. They were created by the eruptions at The Volcano over years and years.
The Beejubelle is no longer available in the Cave. Now, it's available for 200 CC in the Cash Shop through the end of this month.
The Hntyrrh has vanished from the Cave and is now skulking about The Mysterious Asteroid instead...
Suspiciously, the Pareteorsite cannot be found at The Mysterious Asteroid anymore.
Made of glass and obsidian that's heated and cooled over and over again... this is the Tekrhyo and Ashheart. New at the Cash Shop!
The Pipsquake and Obsuidian are brand-new to Egg Cave and are available as this month's Cave Monthlies.
The Nym and the Byte have returned this month, with limited stock being released in waves. Get either of them for 1000 CC in the Cash Shop while supplies last!

snowywinter • 1 Aug 2026, 12:07 AM
Aw the Ashheart looks a bit like the Foxfly < 3 / A bit miffed that the new releases style is okay, but Sketchy Follyn wasn't./ *breathes a sigh of relief at which Asteroid creature was retired* Welcome Hntyrrh to the current rotation! ^^

snowywinter • 1 Aug 2026, 5:08 AM
hmmm... I wonder if we're getting a new spot on the Map... or even a re-drawn map. Ian did say big changes were coming.
pet_cemetery • 1 Aug 2026, 5:20 AM
Hntyrrh strikes again, it took out another species. Five species so far have been suspiciously retired since the short time it was released, what an absolute menace. We might have to go to war with this thing
pet_cemetery • 1 Aug 2026, 5:23 AM
Think about it. It starts showing up in the cave and now suddenly four species of eggs are no longer able to be found. Then is moves to the astroid and now one of the astroid species have gone AWOL
merit • 1 Aug 2026, 5:38 AM
@spookyfrog Tentropy is literally one of my dream pets! I'm so excited that I might have a chance at one đ
dragiigy • 1 Aug 2026, 6:27 AM
@snowywinter I usually get wanted creature after 20 bites.
snowywinter • 1 Aug 2026, 6:43 AM
@pet-cemetery I think technically it's just coincidence, but I LOVE idea of this as fan lore! I totally support the Hntyrrh menace plot.
flower • 1 Aug 2026, 8:38 AM

mindwhiper • 4 Aug 2026, 9:02 PM
Well nice critters! No fun of this artstyle, but surprisingly cute this time. Finally normal august! Except Nym bite of course.
snowywinter • 5 Aug 2026, 8:01 PM
Just want to say congratulations to all the people that have been able to get a Nym! < 3 You people weren't kidding about really wanting one. lol. Not even a week in and already 90% sold. I don't think I've seen a species sell out since the 1st year Unvaulting was introduced.
snowywinter • 5 Aug 2026, 8:03 PM
(I know I was a bit of a curmudgeon about it being re-released again so soon, but I am truly happy for the people that wanted it so much. I know what that's like.)
snowywinter • 6 Aug 2026, 8:19 PM
Daaaang, and just like that they're sold out. (I was going through my cove... and realizing they've grown on me, I was contemplating actually getting one. oops. guess not. lol. Not until they next time they come around.)
lunar • 7 Aug 2026, 7:37 AM
I was hoping to get a Nym on my birthday, but to my (not) surprise, they are all sold out. âšī¸
