Every day for one week, we'll be releasing brand-new, never-before-seen creatures in the Cave for you to collect. The final day of Creature Release Week is the 8th day, when all creatures are available from the Cave.
All creature stages will be revealed at the end of the week. The rest are hidden. Cave attempts are increased to 25 per day but will return to the normal 10 attempts per day after the final (8th) day.
THIS IS CREATURE RELEASE WEEK 2018: BEASTS!
From Coldworld, this ice beast seems pretty cute actually. We might be starting out with cute but trust us... it'll be getting more intense from here.
UPDATE 11:13 PM: All maintenances have been completed and have been successful. See you at midnight for CRW.
Egg Cave's datacenter will be upgrading our servers with a security patch for the Meltdown and Specter bugs computing devices tonight starting at around 9 PM and then again at 11 PM. The site may become inaccessible, display "database error" for a period of time, and various system tasks may not complete (i.e. things like daily resets).
Unfortunately, our datacenter gives us only a maintenance window and not an exact time of when our servers will be affected. Rest assured that, once the maintenance is completed, we will perform any system tasks that weren't completed during the maintenance (like daily resets). Eggs and creatures will not die when the servers are offline, nor will they lose happiness.
While the maintenance window is scheduled to be several hours, Egg Cave will likely only go offline for a few minutes. If you notice any hiccups tonight, that's why.
Thank you for your patience. This is not a software or site-related update — this is a physical hardware update for our servers.
A few days ago, we passed 5 billion creature views at Egg Cave. We are so thankful and amazed at all of our lovely players who help make Egg Cave such a fun and enjoyable place to hang out on the internet.
The 5 billionth viewed creature was shockingpup the Listrick. The 5 billion views recognition has permanently been installed on your creature's profile. Congratulations to their owner @fluffurry!
Here we come... to 10 billion!
It's that time of the month again... for today you can earn double the Egg Coins for feeding creatures everywhere on the site. So, start visiting your friends' profiles and take advantage of it!
Double feed days are now on the second Sunday of every month.
Finley's Flavors is keeping it extra, extra chill with these crystal ice cream cones!
ICYMI: Creature Release Week returns this coming Monday at midnight Egg Cave Time (ECT). Cave attempts will be raised to 25 per day (no wait) for the duration of this event.
We literally can't wait to show you what we have.
A creature that will be released on the Lunar New Year 2018 has appeared in the Creature Description Writing Contest. There's a bit more time and heads up to complete your entries, so take your time.
The winner of the CDWC entry for this species will be the first to receive the creature (for free) and will be permanently credited in the Archives.
The Science and Research Center is requesting your help with funding the research of the Squidot creature.
It is the Science and Research Center's most expensive endeavor yet, requesting a hefty 1 billion EC in funding.
Creature Release Week returns January 15. For one week, a brand-new creature will be released every day that you'll be able to collect from the Cave. Stay tuned for more developments.
These cute snowflake cookies can now be found at the Bakery.
A bug with eggs' "recent feeders" list has been fixed. There was a glitch that accidentally cleared the entire recent feeders list on a creature when a new player fed a creature with 5 existing recent feeders.
You will now have a much, much more accurate knowing of who's feeding and who isn't! Have fun.
