Two new creatures have popped up in the Creature Description Writing Contest and their descriptions will absolutely be chosen by the end of the year (as in, within a few days). They are both January monthly creatures.

All of 2017's Cash Shop Monthlies remain on sale in the Cash Shop Park through December 31. We hope that you've enjoyed an additional opportunity to get the creatures that you love. If creatures were never, ever re-released, they'd go extinct.
The Advent Tree is open every day in the month of December and has been handing out some special gifts and prizes this holiday season. We can give you a heads up and mention that Christmas Day's holiday gift will be extra special this year so be sure to visit Egg Cave on Christmas Day.

The Toy Drive continues at Egg Cave and, while an official end date hasn't been set (still!), it is likely to close before the start of the new year. So keep collecting and donating toys for your chance to win the 2017 Cave monthly of your choosing.

All Cash Shop Monthlies that were released in 2017 are now on sale again for their original price of 500 CC. Missed out earlier in the year? Now you can get the creatures that you really want.
They will be available in the Cash Shop Park through the end of this year (December 31 at 11:59 PM ECT). This sale does not include any seasonal or event-related Cash Shop creatures. Monthlies, as released on the 1st of each month, only.
The Toy Drive has opened in Leila and is collecting toys (find it under the Explore tab)! Donate your toy items to The Toy Drive and get Toy Tickets.
Depending on the rarity of the toy item given, you will receive varying amounts of Toy Tickets as thanks from Micha. Finally, every day at 8 PM ECT, Micha will award a top Toy Drive donator with a 2017 Cave monthly of their choosing. That's right. Any Cave monthly released in 2017!
Your Toy Ticket balance resets every day at the time of the drawing. You can set your Cave monthly wish on the Toy Drive page. If a 2017 Cave monthly wish isn't set and you win the drawing, a random one will be chosen for you. You must donate, at minimum, one toy per day to be entered (i.e. players who do not donate aren't entered).
The first Toy Drive drawing is tomorrow at 8 PM, exactly 24 hours from this posting. All users will be notified of the daily Toy Drive winner via notifications (or you can check the Toy Drive page directly).
The Toy Drive will be open for a limited time but we haven't determined when it will close just yet. When we know, we will announce it for everyone immediately.

At approximately December 14, 2:31 PM ECT Inventory items restocked, received, or gifted between December 14, 5:03 AM ECT and December 14, 2:31 PM ECT were lost. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. This occurred due to an incorrect command being executed on a production database server without any safeguards requiring command confirmation.
UPDATE 3:14 PM — all users have been refunded the Egg Coins that they spent restocking items during this time. This has been added to your on-hand EC balances.
UPDATE 4:34 PM — Cash Shop inventory items purchased during this time frame have been fixed and restored to accounts. Very minimal impact.
Essentially, your Inventory has been reverted to what it looked like this morning at 5:03 AM ECT. We are very sorry that this has occurred!
To ensure that this does not happen again, Team Egg Cave will be putting in place proper safeguards to ensure that commands of this magnitude cannot be executed in a production environment without confirmation.
Since the Advent Tree prize today does not include any items (and therefore no one has missed out on an item due to this glitch), the Advent Tree will not be reset today.
