The tip of Rosalie's lip twitched. She could always go back to Paris with Jade. No big deal. Living for this long can result in so much money. Rosalie had a lot of money. She was considering.

Jade was thinking of all those Leon and Alex moments that she had seen, and flashed them into Leon's mind.

Then Jade imagined a beautiful meadow where Leon and Alex were running to hug each other, and pushed it into Leon's mind. Then she sighed. "Well... We don't have a good happily ever after with either choice."

~ I could see what Jade and Leon were thinking about. I wasn't stupid. It was plain to see that LeonxAlex was just waiting to happen. But that didn't make it something to discuss right now. I saw them exchanging even more dialogue internally through their facial expressions. My frustration was building up more and more, and finally, I just had to let it out. "This is no laughing matter!" I said sharply. "This is life or death! We're in a hostile building, guards that WE'VE killed strewn across the floor, and all you can think about are stupid CRUSHES?!!?!?" I forced that last word out of my mouth like I was forcing myself to vomit, and glared at Jade and Leon. ~

Leon wanted to say two things. HE wasn't the one thinking about crushes, and HE didn't kill anyone. That one guard was still breathing, Leon made sure of that. But he remanded quiet, not looking guilty at all.

Annabell was worried. Tricia wasn't usually like this, but it could always be repressed anger.
"Tricia, are you okay?" Annabell asked, worried.

Jade was offended. "OUR CHOICES ARE LIMITED. AND I STATED OUR OPTIONS. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?" she yelled in Tricia's face.

Rosalie considered leaving with Jade right now. She only needed to pass her phone to Jade, to call Monroe and get the h*ll outta here.

~ I stopped. I shut my mouth. I was quiet. And I was sorry. Everything that my classmates- no, FRIENDS, had said had been true. I had just acted like a jerk. And I owed them an apology.
"I'm sorry." I looked up at them all.
"I'm sorry that I exploded, and I'm sorry that I insulted you, and called you immature, when I was the one being immature myself."
"I'm sorry that I blamed you for not addressing our situation, when I was the one causing arguments. I was acting like a jerk, and none of you deserved that. What we need is to stick together, not push apart."
I looked down. I was so ashamed of myself.
