@smilies ~ I would think, no uniforms, expect when you're trainung, and ,yes, the gov' forces you to be boarding.
IF you have parents, you can see them 1 day for christmas. XD

I think range is nice. But I think the teachers shouldn't have powers. It might add a nice little turn. Since they work for the government. Smilies no need to change 😊 If you're characters not evil they're not evil. And hmmmm I'm not quite sure of a motive but you know they could just be like wanting to escape from the GOV like in Maximum ride?

And its an evil GOV school. They're trying to use the kids as weapons. I'm not sure if they have the uniforms but we can decide on that. 😊 😊

Raven brushed her fringe out of her eyes and looked at the envelope sellotaped onto her new locker. She made as if to throw it into the bin like she usually did, but thought better. It WAS her first day, after all. Good thing she didn't, it was her timetable. Good. They were already to intimidated to approach her. They knew her record. She glanced at the paper and made a face. Monday, 1st period: Control and Containment. WHATEVER. I mean, SUPER. She rolled her eyes. This had better a joke.
The bell rang.

Uh, WHERE was the classroom? There was no room written on her timetable. Raven looked around. The corridor was empty. She refused to panic and turned a corner. People were piling into a class. She looked at the door. "Control and Containment" was written on it in big block letters. She had an urge to laugh sourly but didn't.

Huh....interesting topic!
I'll try to keep up with the plot...these days I'm more inactive on egg cave...

Name: Summer
Female
Age: 12 but claims to be 13
Appearance: short (and teased about it), golden blond hair, hazel eyes. Pale skin with some freckles here and there
Personality: happy and nice, but she has her bad days and then you should stay out of her way!
Background info: was arrested for arson and taken to the school.
Powers: can jump really high and far, sets things on fire, creates small balls of light.

Summer sat down in a chair in Control and Containment. 'I wonder what this class is about...' she thought. She pulled a hair clip out of her pocket and played with it until class started...but then she checked her watch and realized she had some time before class started, so Summer pulled out a book and started to read. 'Man, I hope I make some friends...'

Summer put down the book and checked her watch. 'Oh no, class is about to start...the first day of school is always boring.' she thought, clipping the hair clip to a stray lock of hair. 'Why am I even here? I mean, how did they even know about the powers...' she stopped and groaned. The gov sent Summer to school for "examination" after they whispered and glanced at her for about an hour. Summer picked up the book and waited for the first class to begin.

The teacher Ms. McDermid glares at her poisonously.

"You're late." she snarled.
"yeah, I was busy showing some newbies around."
Ms. McDermid sniffed, "Well then, would you like to get up here and show us how its done O-essence of Water Power?" she bowed mockingly.

The class laughed as Marrissa worked her way to the front to begin the lesson

Raven took her favorite place at the back left corner of the room, where she could see the whole class. There were about 20 students and rising. One even had green highlights in her hair, I mean, WEIRD. The teacher wasn't here yet. She stiffened, someone had just sat down next to her. She prepared her best glare and looked.
She froze in shock. It was like looking into one of those distorted mirrors. He had black hair, the exact same shade as hers, but cut short. His eyes, too, were an exact copy of hers. Even his expression was one she had seen on her face in the mirror, an icy smile. This must be his power or something. She resisted the impulse to touch her face and faced the front. The teacher had arrived.
"In Control and Containment you will learn to open your mind to help you control and better understand your powers." Raven went into automatic shut-down after that sentence because the teacher spent the whole lesson lecturing them about how Latin was a good exercise for opening your mind excreta. I mean, SNORE. She kept sneaking glances at the boy next to her, he was doodling into his book. His friend actually turned around and had like a one-way conversation with him, and when the teacher asked him what she had just said he got it word for word. Weird.
Half way through the class a girl interrupted the teacher and asked when we'd be doing practical. She said next year if we were lucky. Maybe in Survival I'll learn something I can kick this teacher's butt with...

Yawn...Summer was daydreaming of setting the teacher's hair on fire. She turned around to scan the room. At the back of the room there was a girl with jet-black hair, sneaking looks at a boy with hair of an identical color. Summer snorted. Typical goth, she thought, and turned back to the teacher while trying to stay awake.

Finally the long awaited bell rang and Raven slung her bag over her shoulder, joining the river of rejoicing students moving to their next and hopefully more interesting class. She pulled out her timetable wondering what she had next.

Next class: fire. Summer walked to her locker to grab the textbook for fire. Her eyes widened when she found that the locker was blown up. Luckily, her books were okay. Mostly. Summer switched the number plates of her locker and put her books into an extra locker. She glanced around and started down the hall.

Power Examination. Oh my god. Raven was excited, she didn't really know what her power was. She would be nervous but there was no question to whether she had one or not. She could frighten people, even make them hurt if she wanted, without doing anything. Unfortunately, her time-table had no class written on it. She wondered if this was by purpose or not. Anxiously she looked around, it could be anywhere.
