Seraea watched Tricia yammer with Summer.She couldn't help feeling a tiny bit jealous.But it was time for C&C.She followed Tricia,making sure to get a seat near someone she knew.

I called you journal because "diary" sounds too girly. And of course "dear" is SO stupid so I took that out too. If you are worrying about privacy, don't. If someone types the wrong password in, or tries to hack it, it'll self-destruct. Which, unless at that point of time the person leaves to take their cookies out of the oven or whatever, or possess invincibility/immortality, will most likely definitely kill them. Or at least give them brain damage. Good enough. Anyway, bet you were wondering where I was on tuesday? I was in bed. SLEEPING. Not very interesting huh? But wait til you hear why I was so sleepy: I BROKE INTO THE DEPUTY PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE ON MONDAY NIGHT AND HACKED INTO THEIR COMPUTER. They don't have self-destruct, obviously. It was a shame the principal's was too heavily guarded, but I'll settle for second best. ANYWAY, my mission was to find out about new students, separate potential recruits from definite nots. You know Raven's real name is Monique? Weird huh. My real name is Micheal, for your information. Hate it. Anyway, I also looked at recent emails. Most of it was in code, but even the parts that weren't, WELL. We are so screwed. I mean, the latest skirmish with Spain left a three mile crater. Here's a picture. Where is this? How do they hide the battlefields? That's what I'll work on finding out next.

Fire. She had no gift with Fire, it was just her extra subject. She fought the temptation to lie down and go back to sleep and instead started sluggishly getting dressed.

Ivy sighed as her teacher went over "Plants and You" with the class. She more than anything wanted to throw a tree at the teacher , just to show how much "Control" she had with her powers, but decieded against it. "This is going to be a LONGGG day." Ivy sighed.

In Fire they were studying charcoal. The teacher gave us a three page essay due Monday. Sigh. But she did promise we would set charcoal on fire next lesson.

Hey. Right now it's free period, I can see Raven entering her Fire class right now. Riley has Animals so it's just me typing on my laptop. Some girls called Jade and Summer have got some good detentions, I'll talk to R. about giving them tests.
I've got Survival next. I'm not wagging any of those anymore, not after seeing that three mile crater. Oh, god. We are all dead. We have to get out of here. We have to get out.

Summer had her head against her desk in Fire. As soon as she could harness her power, the class would BE on fire. Then she heard the teacher mention setting things on fire. the little arsonist inside Summer smiled. Then the bell rang and Summer was about to walk out. The teacher beckoned her over at the last second. "Your mother sent you this package...." the teacher whispered and handed her a box. The box had holes cut into the side and it was labeled "Caution: Live Animal Inside." Summer's eyes widened. What did her mom send her, a cobra?! Summer groaned and walked slowly to her next class.

Raven walked with Summer to Survival. She noticed the box. "What is it?" She asked curiously.



He groaned. It's not like he had a problem with Survival, but he hated sweat. The other kids stink. He hid his laptop in his room and started a slow decent down the stairs to the gym.

"Hey Ivy." Summer smiled. "Nah, Animal teachers would confiscate it, whatever it is. Besides, it's from my mom. It wouldn't be TOO bad, would it?" she slowly opened the lid and out popped....a white kitten? It mewed and the transformed into a rabbit, and then a mouse. It changed into a ferret and leaped onto Summer's shoulder. "Ok...weird shapeshifting animal. Thanks mom." Summer pulled the othe object out of the box. It was a pendant with a small ember in it. "Cool. My own mini eternal fire." She turned to her friends. "I guess I should explain that today is my birthday."

"Sorry guys, it's just adjusting to a new school....I completely forgot. I guess this little guy is like our pet, right?" The creature changed into a raven, and fittingly flew onto Raven's head. "Uh, so what should we call him?" Summer tied her fire pendant around her neck and stroked the creature's feathers. Summer gave Jade a thumbs upmfor the arrows and smiled.

"Great, let's drop him off at my locker, tell coach I'll be right back." Summer put it in a small cage from Animal class and returned to Survival just as the assessment started.

During lunch two notes were slipped into two lockers: One in Jade's, her challenge was to set the fire alarm and sprinklers off during C & C. Summer's was to blast heavy metal music via the loudspeakers in last period.

Summer looked at Ivy and Raven. "Here, Ivy, do something with the hedges, umm, Raven, come with me. We'll try to follow the path. Ivy, I'll try to burn down the hedges or leap over them."

Chroma squeaked as the note was tossed into the locker. He began to nibble on the edge of the note.

Raven traced the shadows of the hedge mentally. "The exit's in this direction." She pointed. "We turn off here." She walked forward with her eyes closed, following the shadows.

Ivy cracked her knuckles. "This is easy.... METAL HEDGES!!!! Who thinks of this?!?!?"
Ivy ran to catch up with Summer and Raven.
"Guys, wait up."
Ivy reached into her pockets and took out the package of seeds, dropping them on the ground, she commanded them to rises of the metal hedges and make a latter.
"Going up?" she asked her companoines.
